2025 World Series of Poker
Anton Beno started the action with a raise to 40,000 under the gun, and only Waheed Feda made the call on the button.
The dealer laid out a Q♦Q♣8♣ flop, and when Beno continued for 25,000, Feda called again.
Beno kept hold of the betting lead on the K♦ turn, putting out 75,000. Undeterred, Feda called again.
The river 4♦ then caused fireworks. Beno fired again, this time for 105,000, and Feda almost immediately moved all in. Beno made an even quicker call and delivered the bad news to Feda.
Feda turned over his A♦9♦, revealing he had rivered a flush, but Beno had turned top full house with his K♣K♥.
A nasty river for Feda, but as the shorter of the two stacks, he was eliminated from the tournament.
Daniel Erlandsson made it 40,000 under the gun and Peter Park jammed for 290,000 from middle position. Erlandsson immediately called to put Park at rsk.
Peter Park: 7♠7♣
Daniel Erlandsson :A♣K♠
Park needed to win this flip to have a chance of returning on Day 5. The flop came J♣5♥4♠, keeping Park's pair in the lead. The 4♦ turn gave Erlandsson a straight draw, and the river was the A♥, which improved Erlandsson to top pair. Park wished the table good luck as he packed his bag and left the tournament area.
Adam Hendrix opened to 40,000 and faced a shove from Carlos Loving in the big blind for his remaining 310,000. Hendrix made the call, and the cards went on their backs.
Carlos Loving: 6♣6♠
Adam Hendrix: A♠9♥
Hendrix took the lead right on the flop of A♣3♥J♥, pairing his ace. The 9♣ on the turn gave him two pair and left Loving drawing thin. The 8♠ river sealed it, sending Loving to the rail as Hendrix stacked the pot.
James Calderaro had gotten his stack of 670,000 in before the flop from the hijack against Arie Kliper in the small blind, and he was the player at risk.
James Calderaro: A♥K♠
Arie Kliper: 10♠10♥
The 6♣Q♥3♦9♠8♠ board remained free of aces and kings, setting Calderaro's elimination in stone. Calderaro calmly finished his drink and shook hands with the dealer and his former opponents before leaving the tournament area.
Luis Carmona made it 40,000 from the hijack, and Paul Gibbons called from the cutoff before Marc Fiorentino three-bet to 125,000 from the button. Carmona four-bet jammed for 565,000, which prompted Gibbons to move in over the top for around a million. Fiorentino agonized over the decision for quite some time before folding and showing Big Slick to some of his tablemates.
Luis Carmona: A♠Q♠
Paul Gibbons: K♥K♣
Since Fiorentino had folded an ace, it looked even more likely that Gibbons' Cowboys were going to hold and eliminate Carmona. The board ran out 10♣10♦6♦5♣J♠, providing no help to Carmona, and he headed to the exit earlier than he had hoped.
Gustavo Morales opened to 30,000 in middle position and received an all-in shove for 350,000 from Oleksii Kravchuk in hijack. John Petro in the small blind called. Morales folded, and left the two players to head to showdown.
Oleksii Kravchuk: 10♣10♠
John Petro: A♣Q♣
Kravchuk's tens held on the flop of J♣9♣5♦ but Petro had more outs to turn things around with a flush draw. The 4♠ turn was not one of Petro's outs, but the river Q♥ was pushing Petro ahead and sending Kravchuk to hit the rails.
Seunghyun Nam opened to 40,000 from middle position and Kristof Coenen three-bet shoved for 180,000 from the small blind. Thomas Boivin four-bet to 320,000 from the big blind and Nam folded K♣J♦.
Kristof Coenen: 6♥6♣
Thomas Boivin: Q♦Q♣
Coenen picked up a gutshot on the 5♠4♦2♠ flop but improved no further as the rest of the board ran out 4♥4♠, resulting in his elimination.
