Martinez Flats Pre And Loses the Pot

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

After an open to 8,000 Jesus Martinez three-bet 22,000 and Dusty Ross four-bet to 125,000. The initial raiser folded and Martinez contemplated before flatting with 140,000 behind.

Both players checked the 974 flop. "Triyng to figure out what you flatted with," said Ross as the turn brought the 5.

Martinez bet 30,000 and Ross called. The river was the A. Martinez checked before folding with apparent anger as Ross shoved it.

"Feels like it was aces," said Andreas Staschewski to Ross. "I really like the Hollywood on the flop."

Portaleoni Fires at Wong

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Jonathan Wong opened to 8,000 from early position before Rodrigo Portaleoni three-bet to 22,000 on his direct left, whilst playing some five-card PLO on his iPad, as if the Main Event is not enough action, and Wong called.

On the J55 flop, Wong checked in flow to Portaleoni who continued for 15,000 and Wong put in the call.

The A turn checked through to the 2 river which saw Wong check for a third time before Portaleoni tossed out a bet of 30,000, causing Wong to lay it down after a minute's tank as the Brazilian collected a sizeable pot.

Napolitano Stays Alive

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

When action folded to Vincent Napolitano, he moved all in for his remaining 17,000. Alexander Ziskin, next to act, made the call, and the rest of the table folded.

Vincent Napolitano: 22 All in
Alexander Ziskin: 1010

A very polite Napolitano asked the dealer, "Do you have a two of hearts in there?".

Ask and you shall receive. The dealer flipped over a Q82 flop, moving Napolitano into the lead with bottom set.

There was no help for Ziskin on the 9 turn, nor the 3 river, and Napolitano pulled in a pot worth more than a double up.

Silent Night for Holley After Frozen Tank

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
John Holley
John Holley

Christopher Hermens had opened to 9,000 from middle position and was faced with a hefty three-bet of 50,000 from John Holley in the big blind.

Hermens then four-bet shoved for just over 290,000, and Holley was in the tank for quite some time. So long in fact that one of the table called the clock.

"Come on, man. This is a big spot," said Holley.

"It's been a while," replied his tablemate.

The floor came over and Holley was given a 30-second countdown. The seconds ticked away and Holley didn't make any action by the time the clock hit zero, which meant his hand was declared dead and Hermens was pushed the pot.

Get Yourself Back in Here, You've Got a Straight Flush!

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Randy Crow
Randy Crow

An action-packed hand was kicked off with a raise from Corey Lieblein in middle position to 10,000. Both Randy Crow called from the small blind and Vincent Napolitano, from the big blind.

The dealer burned and turned three, bringing the 8Q10 flop. Queue fireworks.

Crow checked in the small blind before Napolitano took over the betting lead for around 18,000. Preflop aggressor Lieblein responded by moving all in for 103,000, and Crow then followed suit, moving all in for 82,000. Napolitano wasted little time in calling, and as he had the biggest stack, he put both players at risk of elimination.

Randy Crow: J9 All in
Corey Lieblein: KQ All in
Vincent Napolitano: 1010

An ice-cold cooler, as Crow had flopped the straight, Napolitano had flopped a set, and Lieblein had top pair with a king-high flush draw.

The players all got to their feet to watch the runout.

The 6 had no impact, but when the J rolled off on the river, Lieblein celebrated excitedly, having rivered a king-high flush.

Crow put his backpack on and started to walk away from the table, dreaming of what could have been. The dealer then turned his cards face down to add them to the muck pile.

But wait... A player not involved in the hand spoke up. "Doesn't he have a straight flush?" he asked. The dealer turned the cards back over, and Crow had indeed rivered a straight flush.

This left the table in disbelief, as the dealer apportioned the pot, giving Crow his triple up, and providing Lieblein with the side pot he had won.

"Main Event Done": Levy Spikes River to Bust Negreanu

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu opened to 8,000 in early position and Simon Levy three-bet to 25,000 in the small blind. Negreanu pulled out his selfie stick and said "this means I've decided" before four-bet jamming a stack of 53,000. Levy called.

Daniel Negreanu: 99 All in
Simon Levy: AQ

"Okay, we're ahead," Negreanu said when his opponent turned over ace-queen.

The flop of 48K didn't change anything, but the 10 turn gave Levy additional outs with a Broadway draw. However, the Q river was all he needed to send the Poker Hall of Famer to the rail.

"Ay ay ay. GG. Main Event done," Negreanu said as he left.
