Kassouf Wants to Play a Game

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
William Kassouf
William Kassouf

Will Kassouf made it 100,000 with KJ from early position and Jay Nguyen called in the cutoff with A9.

They saw a flop of 47K where Nguyen checked and Kassouf bet 150,000.

For the last five minutes, Kassouf has been trying to persuade the table to play the 'show one' game, where anybody that wins a pot must show at least one card.

"If you fold, I'll show you one. If you fold and show me both, I'll show you both, that's the deal. I'm a gentleman," said Kassouf. "I'm a man of my word,".

Nguyen eventually folded face down, and Kassouf showed one card.

"Say please and I'll show you the second one. Say 'please Will' and I'll show you the second one," added Kassouf.

"Please, Will," asked Nguyen nicely.

Kassouf then flipped over his second card as he pulled in the pot.

"Very nice," were Nguyen's final words.

Kasic Doubles Again

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Sejo Kasic
Sejo Kasic

Sejo Kasic made a big raise to 125,000 as first to act. Hans Bosman called in the small blind, and Mark Shutley defended his big blind.

The 934 flop checked to Kasic, who promptly shoved all in for 595,000, an over-bet to the pot. Bosman asked for a count before reshoving, causing Shutley to shut down and muck his cards.

Sejo Kasic: KJ All in
Hans Bosman: AJ

Bosman was ahead with ace-high, but the 8 turn locked up the pot as Kasic made a higher flush. The 4 river changed nothing as Kasic and Bosman virtually switched stacks.

Pengelly Flips For It All Against Eychenne

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

William Pengelly raised to 80,000 on the button before Thomas Eychenne three-bet to 320,000 in the small blind. Pengelly then moved all in for 1,400,000 and Eychenne snap-called.

William Pengelly: AK All in
Thomas Eychenne: 1010

It was a classic flip, and Pengelly pulled in front on the A64 flop with a pair of aces. "Come on, hold," he yelled out as the turn came the 9, followed by the Q on the river.

"Let's f**king go!" Pengelly shouted out, running away from the table and unleashing a big fist pump as Eychenne calmly cut out the chips to pay him off.

Goldman Backdoors into Trips

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Noah Goldman
Noah Goldman

With 600,000 in the pot already, Shoichiro Tamaki and Noah Goldman went heads-up to the turn on a board of 485A. Tamaki checked before Goldman bet 300,000. Goldman thought for a while and then meticulously carved out the call.

Tamaki immediately checked the A river, and Goldman fired out a big bet of 700,000. Tamaki took a lot longer to make his decision, but in the end, he settled on a call.

Goldman turned over trip aces with AK to win the pot, as Tamaki slid his cards face down back to the dealer.

Wysotchanski Tangles With Grupp

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Wagner Wysotchanski
Wagner Wysotchanski

A seizable pot had built to the Q7289 river on which Wagner Wysotchanski in the small blind and Kyle Grupp in the cutoff both banged their fists on the table. That came moments after Wysotchanski had bet 650,000 and after a mere thirty seconds to think for Grupp, Wysotchanski already wanted to call the clock on him.

What followed was a tank of four minutes during which both players actively engaged in lengthy table chat back and forth.

Wysotchanski first suggested that he may have hit a straight with jack-ten before adding "I love playing seven deuce as well".

Grupp suspected that Wysotchanski may have had aces with the ace of clubs.

"I will let you pick one, hope you pick the right one," Wysotchanski suggested as he was still all smiles.

Francis Anderson then announced that he would be calling the clock in another thirty seconds.

"No Francis, give him 68 minutes [what was left on the clock for this level]," Wysotchanski instantly exclaimed.

The floor arrived and the thirty seconds ran down without a decision, the hand of Grupp was dead. Wysotchanski raked in the pot with a smirk ... and did not show any of the cards or let Grupp pick one.

Staschewski Gets Raided

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Chris Dombrowski opened to 80,000 in the hijack and Zhen Cai three-bet to 200,000 in the cutoff.

Andreas Staschewski then took several peeks at his cards in the small blind before four-bet jamming a stack of around 800,000. Dombrowski called and Cai folded.

Andreas Staschewski: JJ All in
Chris Dombrowski: AA

Staschewski had run into aces and an ace in the window was bad news, though he wasn't quite dead as the flop landed 8JA. The board finished out 108 to mark Staschewski's elimination as Cai revealed he folded king-queen and would've won with Broadway.

Hindry Falls to Garner

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Michael Garner
Michael Garner

Michael Garner raised to 80,000 from early position and Joe Hindry shoved from the next seat for 595,000. When it got back to Garner, he quickly called.

Joe Hindry: 1010 All in
Michael Garner: JJ

Hindry was crushed and even his suits were covered by the bigger pair of Garner. The runout of 6AA5K didn't bring the ten that Hindry needed, and he hit the rail as Garner chipped up.

Trips for Illani

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Ran Ilani
Ran Ilani

Octavian Voegele raised to 80,000 from the button before Ran Ilani chose to respond with an all-in from the big blind for 705,000. Voegele confirmed the count, then called to put Illani at risk.

Ran Ilani: J9All in
Octavian Voegele: KQ

Ilani put his chips in while behind, but the flop made all his problems disappear as it came out 992 to give him trips.

The 4 peeled on the turn, and the irrelevant A came on the river to award Illani the double.

Alarm Bells Ringing For Moore as Fewster Doubles in Lengthy Pot

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Henry Fewster
Henry Fewster

Mathew Moore raised to 80,000 in early position before Henry Fewster three-bet to 225,000 in middle position. Moore four-bet to 480,000 and Fewster called.

The flop came Q55 and Moore continued for 225,000. Fewster called and the 2 fell on the turn.

Moore took a moment before checking over to Fewster, who bet 300,000. Moore again tanked for a few minutes and called to see the 8 river. He checked once more, and Fewster took his time before moving all in for 360,000.

Moore went deep into the tank, taking more than five minutes until he called with KK. His suspicions proved correct, however, as Fewster turned over AA to earn a double up in a pot that took around 10 minutes off the clock.

Kasic Receives Lucky Double-Up

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Sejo Kasic
Sejo Kasic

Benjamin Winsor raised to 80,000 in middle position. Sejo Kasic then moved all in for 280,000 on the button, and Tony Gregg four-bet to 480,000 in the small blind.

Winsor quickly mucked his A7 before the others tabled their cards.

Sejo Kasic: KJ All in
Tony Gregg: AK

Kasic was in dire straits against Greggs's hand, and he received no help from the Q3Q flop. He spiked a jack on the J turn for a big lead, however, and he secured his double-up when the 3 river completed the board.
