Lococo's Main Event Comes to an End

With about 25,000 in the middle on a board of 6♠8♠4♣9♣, Alejandro Lococo led out for 7,200 from the big blind before Kyle Arora jammed from the hijack. The shove had Lococo's remaining 18,500 covered, and after a long tank, he called it off.

Kyle Arora: J♦J♣

Arora was ahead with an overpair, but Lococo had plenty of outs with one card to come.

Unfortunately for Lococo, the 2♣ on the river wasn't one of them, and all of his chips were pushed across the table to Arora.

Television Runout For Choi

Action was picked up on the flop in a pot between Yuji Yaginuma in the cutoff and Young Choi in the small blind.

Facing a bet of 3,200 on a board reading Q♣4♠2♣, Yaginuma moved all in for 23,400 and Choi went into the tank before calling.

"Why would you rip that there?" asked Choi as the turn peeled off a 10♣ to give Yaginuma a king-high flush and Choi two pair.

The pendulum would swing back the other direction as a 10♠ peeled off on the river to give Choi a full house to eliminate Yaginuma from the tournament.

"I don't understand why he would jam there," said Choi after Yaginuma lef the table.

Not the best of flops for Jackson came of 7♥7♣4♥ and when the 2♦ peeled off on the turn he was drawing dead. The irrelevant K♣ came on the river to seal the deal and Jackson was sent to the rail.

Kristaps Sipols raised to 2,000 under the gun and Lucas Fauth called in early position. Antonio Buonanno then three-bet to 9,500 in the big blind, and Sipols moved all in for 25,000. Fauth folded, while Buonanno called.

Adam Goldstein raised to 2,000 under the gun and picked up four callers, including Robert Fulton in the hijack and Joseph Teanotoga on the button.

"Let's go five ways, come on!" Goldstein shouted as the flop came 8♥4♦2♠. The action checked around to Teanotoga, and he moved all in for 25,400. The rest of the table folded around to Fulton, and he called to put Teanotoga at risk.

Teanotoga showed top pair, but he was behind Fulton's jacks. The J♣ turn improved Fulton to a set, and Teanotoga was drawing dead going to the 6♦ river and was sent to the rail.

Heads-up on a flop of K♦10♣J♠, Ryan Feldman checked from middle position and called a 3,600 bet from Virgile Turchi, who was in the hijack.

Feldman check-called an 8,200 bet from Turchi on the 7♥ turn and checked a final time after the 2♠ completed the board.

Turchi bet enough to put Feldman all in for his last 35,000, sending Feldman deep into the tank.

Feldman sat back in his seat and shook his head as he contemplated his decision, but eventually tossed in a reluctant call. Turchi showed A♠Q♠ for the flopped nuts and Feldman showed he held J♦10♥ for two pair to be eliminated.

Warren Li clashed with Carter Jones preflop as both players from early position put the chips in with Li at risk for 4,400.

Li was well behind, but the flop gave him some additional outs when it came 6♠J♣K♠ as he improved to a gutshot to go with his ace.

Li called for a queen, but it never came on the 9♦ turn and the 2♠ river to award the pot to Jones and extinguish Li's hopes of a comeback on Day 2d.

Menard check-called before Thiriart check-folded.

The 5♦ turn saw Ruben size up to 4,800. Menard check-called again, and he checked for a third time on the 8♦ river. Ruben tossed in a bet of 9,100, which Menard called after some time in the tank.

Ruben tabled K♠7♣ for flopped two pair, and Menard quickly added his cards to the muck in defeat.

Sileo Smacks the River to Bust Perdrix

James Sileo and Dirk Perdrix went to the turn on a board of 2♦5♥Q♦K♥ and around 25,000 in the pot. Sileo then bet 16,000 from middle position, Perdrix moved all in for 39,000 from under the gun, and Sileo called.

"I hope you have ace-king," Perdrix said as he turned over Q♠Q♥ for a set. Sileo instead showed A♥10♥ for straight and flush draws, and he spiked both of them on the J♥ river to win the pot and send Perdrix to the rail.
