After Gabor Winkler had opened to 8,000 under the gun, Martijn Kiers three-bet to 24,000 in middle position. Gaston Martinez then moved all in for 33,000 from the hijack, which only Kiers called.

Tyler Kenney opened to 8,000 from early position to see Sergio Castellucio move all in for 36,000 and only Kenney called.

The board ran out A♦9♠6♦Q♠J♠ and the ace-queen held up for Kenney to eliminate Castellucio from the tournament.
Richard Cray raised to 8,000 and faced a three-bet from Kachun Yuan one seat to his left, who had a 25,000 chip in front of him. When the action returned to Cray, he moved all in, covering Yuan's 99,000 stack, who called.

There was no relief for Yuan on the 2♦3♦6♥5♦Q♦ runout, as he saw his Main Event dream come to an end.
Aleksandr Shevlyakov opened under the gun, and Victor Masanes Arauz called two spots over. In the big blind, Andrew Dickinson squeezed to 30,000. Shevliakov then four-bet to 70,000. After flattening the initial raise, Arauz pushed his 87,000 stack into the middle. Dickinson painfully folded before Shevliakov tossed in the few extra chips.

Arauz put his Main Event tournament life on the line with the suited connector facing a four-bet for his last 22 blinds. However, he found some life on the K♣7♣4♦ flop with a pair.
The K♠ turn counterfeited his two pair outs, and only a seven could save him now. He couldn't find one on the Q♦ river as he stood up from his chair with a smile on his face.
"I felt lucky," were the only words spoken by Arauz as he took his leave from the tournament.
James Holacka raised from the hijack and Asa Berger jammed for 28,000 from the button. Holacka called, and the cards were tabled.

Berger was in great shape with the better kicker and looked destined for a double-up after the 7♦2♠J♣ flop and 5♥ turn.
However, the poker gods had other ideas as the 10♠ rolled off on the river, giving Holacka two pair to win the pot and bring Berger's Main Event run to an end.
Jayden Zhu pushed all in from under the gun for 43,000 and Mason Reser called all in for 35,000. All other players folded.

"It should be illegal for him to stand up like that," Reser joked to one of the oldest tricks in poker - getting ready to leave and getting there. The Q♦J♠5♥ flop gave Reser top set and the 9♦ turn saw Zhu walk towards the exit, the 7♠ river was a blank. Zhu had 8,000 chips left and was called back to being forced all in from the big blind.
Alexis Hayek raised to 8,000 and Julian Altieri called from the small blind. On the A♦8♠3♣ flop, Altieri check-called for 4,000 and did so again for 10,000 on the 7♥ turn. Zhu had had enough and grabbed his belongings already to walk towards the exit for real this time even before the A♠ came on the river.
Altieri checked again, Hayek bet 40,000 and isolated successfully to show his A♥7♦ for aces full of sevens. Zhu's 5♣2♠ were briefly exposed but he was already out of the Grand Ballroom by then.
