Hamlet Runs Into Petkov's Quads

Brandon Hamlet raised to 50,000 from early position to see both Lachezar Petkov on the button and Keanon Simon in the big blind call.

The flop rolled out 8♣7♥3♣ and action checked around to Petkov who bet 60,000. Simon folded and Hamlet raised to 180,000 to see Petkov call.

On the turn 4♣, Hamlet bet 220,000 to see Petkov call again.

Hamlet bet 300,000 on the 7♣ river, prompting Petkov to raise all in for 1,200,000 effective and Hamlet called.

Lachezar Petkov: 7♠7♦

Both players had flopped a set, and the river had brought Hamlet threes full of sevens. It was no good against Petkov's four sevens and the over three million chip pot was sent in Petkov's direction.

Ruivo Runs Out on the River

Players were already head up with Manuel Ruivo in the small blind and Kyle Scott sitting in early position. They were on the turn looking at a 3♠8♥7♠4♦ board, with a huge pot of 600,000 chips.

Ruivo jammed for his remaining 720,000 and action went to Scott. He called and covered Ruivo and tabled his pocket kings. Ruivo saw he was behind and turned over his pocket queens.

Kyle Scott: K♥K♣

The 10♠ river fell, and was no help to Ruivo. He stood from the table as the pot was pushed to Scott, having been eliminated from the main event with just 390 players remaining.

After the hand Scott pointed at the dealer and joked, "Five stars for you!"

Zhao Liu raised to 50,000 in the cutoff and Stephen Chidwick moved all in from the button for 220,000. Action folded back around to Liu who thought for a bit before deciding to call with the covering stack.

The board ran out Q♦Q♣3♣10♠6♥ and the queens and tens were good for Liu to take down the pot and eliminate the WSOP bracelet winner from the tournament.

Adam Nattress raised to 50,000 in the hijack. Behnam Patros took some time in the big blind before he defended. The flop fell 6♦K♥4♦. Nattress continued for 60,000, which Patros check-raised to 285,000.

Nattress spent some minutes in thought before he announced his all-in worth 1,010,000, and Patros snapped him off with the covering stack.

Patros' two pair were not counterfeit on the J♠3♠ runout, sending Nattress out from the feature table.

Tianle Wang raised to 50,000 from early position to see Mark Tropp raise to 175,000 on the button and only Wang caled.

The flop rolled out Q♦8♣3♥ and action checked through to the 4♦ turn where Wang bet 225,000 and Tropp called.

Wang checked the Q♣ river over to Tropp who bet 250,000.

"Seven-high," said Wang as he flashed 7♣5♣, leaving Tropp to rake in the pot.

At another table, 3-time WSOP bracelet winner Ryan Leng was eliminated.

In a pot of 755,000, Steven Stanton bet 315,000 from the big blind on the 6♣J♥2♦A♦ turn. Ihar Soika responded by raising to 630,000, an action which sent Stanton into the tank.

After a few minutes, Stanton let go of his cards, surrendering the seven-figure pot to Stoika.

At the same table, Maxime Chilaud was seen with a stack of over 200 big blinds, while Mason Vieth had departed after losing his remaining chips.
