Kupin Finds a Miracle Against Pan

Aaron Kupin and Qinghai Pan were heads-up on a board of 2♣5♥9♦J♠, each already with more than 200,000 in the pot. Kupin then got in his last 910,000 from the hijack, and Pan put him at risk in middle position.

Qinghai Pan: Q♦J♦4♥3♦2♥

Pan showed two pair, and Kupin was already standing up from his seat preparing to make his exit as he turned over A♠K♣9♠7♠2♦. The river, though, brought the K♣ to give Kupin kings and nines and the double.

"Wow, what a card. I've never hit a card like that in my life," Mike Matusow said.

James then led all in on the 7♣ turn, and Schulman instantly called off his stack of 140,000.

Troha then potted to 575,000, Atchison moved all in for 720,000, and Troha called.

Christian Harder raised to 85,000 in the hijack. Doug Lorgeree called in the small blind, and big blind Adrian Buckley spent some time in the tank before he called as well.

Lorgeree then led out for 225,000 on the 2♥3♦J♦ flop. Buckley quickly called off his remaining 85,000, while Harder opted to get out of the way.

Over at another table, James Obst checked the 7♥10♠8♣10♣ flop from early position to Luis Velador in the hijack. Velador bet 125,000, which Obst called.

Velador sized up to 400,000 on the Q♣ river. Obst took some time before he check-called, but he mucked his cards when Velador tabled A♥10♦8♥6♦2♠ for a full house.

The next hand, Schulman and Blom again went to a flop of 4♣Q♠7♣ where Schulman got in his last 345,000. Blom put him at risk this time.
