Set, Flush and Three Pair

Level 10 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Anatoly Zlotnikov
Anatoly Zlotnikov

Juha Helppi limped in on the button, Anatoly Zlotnikov did the same in the small blind, and Alex Foxen checked in the big blind.

The action checked to Helppi on the 985 flop, who bet 10,000. Zlotnikov called, but Foxen folded.

Zlotnikov check-called another bet on the 7 turn, this time for 35,000, before the 2 river checked through.

"I've got a set, flush and three pair", Zlotnikov announced as he flipped over 9885. That combination was enough to beat Helppi, as he tossed his cards towards the muck.

Michael Moncek opened to 14,000 in the hijack after appearing to only look at a single card. Bryce Yockey announced pot, making it 48,000 in the cutoff.

Action folded back around to Moncek, who moved all in, and the call was made.

Michael Moncek: AJ84 All in
Bryce Yockey: KK83

"I looked at all four cards," said Yockey turning over his kings. Moncek pointed to the ace as the card he saw, and the table reacted as Yockey hit a set on the J6K flop.

Moncek found a second pair on the 8 turn, but improved no further on the 5 river to hit the rail.

Jouhkimainen checked on the 107K flop, and Kornuth checked behind. The Q turn saw Jouhkimainen check again, but this time Kornuth bet 16,000, and Jouhkimainen called.

The 9 completed the board, and after Jouhkimainen checked for a third time, Kornuth bet again, this time for 32,000. Jouhkimainen called, but mucked his cards when he was shown a baby flush, as Kornuth tabled J1053.

Van Ravenswoud Fills Up

Level 10 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Ren Lin was asking the dealer for an "ugly flop", following Bryce Yockey with a check in early position after 79K hit the felt.

Carlo Van Ravenswoud fired a bet of 35,000, which was called by Oliver Weis and Yockey. Lin got out of the way, and the 10 turn was revealed.

Yockey and Van Ravenswoud checked to Weis, who announced all in. Yockey let his hand go, while Van Ravenswoud made the call.

Oliver Weis: J1086 All in
Carlo Van Ravenswoud: AK97

"Let Me Go Home"

Level 10 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Ren Lin
Ren Lin

Ren Lin opened from the cutoff and Oliver Weis three-bet to 47,000. The pair saw the J7J flop and with only 16,000 left behind Weis moved all in.

Lin picked up his hand and fanned it the air. Another player at the table said "No snap is a good sign.". Lin stood from the table and announced "I have five high ladies and gentleman." before doing some pot calculations. He asked the dealer to spread the chips and he was counting out loud. He made the call and tabled his cards.

Oliver Weis: KJ83All in
Ren Lin: 5432

Lin sitting with a backdoor flush draw, and five high but Weis had the best of it with trip jacks. There was no surprise that Weis took down the pot after seeing the 7 and 7 complete the board. Lin jested to Weis "You gamble too much..." with Weis responding, "I didn't play five high."

The next hand saw Lin move all in after facing an open from Bryce Yockey, and started singing to the table "Let me go home", and he said "I'll come back and play tomorrow."

Yockey called and Lin went to another showdown, this time with him at risk for his remaining 47,000.

Ren Lin: Q873All in
Bryce Yockey: A875

With Yockey holding an ace, Lin needed to pick up to stay alive. The AJK flop brought in a flush draw for Lin, which was completed on the Q turn. A 9 river didn't change the standings and Lin kept his seat in the tournament and span his stack back up to just over 100,000.
