The remaining 45 players take their final 15-minute break of the night.
With roughly 20,000 in the pot, Brian Breck checked from the small blind on a 7♦2♦7♠ flop, and Jose Scarano checked behind in middle position.
Breck flicked in 15,000 on the 9♣ turn, which Scarano called. The 8♥ river saw Breck revert to checking, and it was Scarano who bet this time, putting 20,000 into the middle.
Breck called, and Scarano tabled A♥K♦3♦3♣, for two pair, sevens and threes. Breck studied his opponent's holding before tossing his own hand into the muck, much to the surprise of one or two players at the table.
Artur Martirosian opened to 8,500 and Daniel Negreanu called on the button whist saying "The most important thing is I have two re-buys". Gruffudd Pugh-Jones defended the big blind and the players went three-ways to the flop.
The 7♦7♣8♣ was fanned and action checked to Negreanu who bet 10,000. Both players folded, passing a small pot Negreanu's way.
Negreanu flashed two of his cards 8♥7♠, showing he was good for the boat.
In the next hand Negreanu opened to 8,500 from the cutoff and Jason Mercier defended his big blind. The 10♣J♥5♠ flop was checked by both to the Q♦ turn and through the 5♠ river to showdown.
Negreanu said "Tens" and tabled his A♦10♦4♠3♠ which was enough for Mercier to muck.
He also picked up more when he opened the hijack and saw no further action, allowing him to get off to a smooth start after just joining the event.
Artur Martirosian opened from under the gun and John Riordan called from early position Stian Usterud three-bet to 13,500 from the hijack and both players called behind.
The 6♣6♠J♦ flop saw all check to the 7♣ turn and Riordan bet 15,000. Usterud called but Martirosian made it 52,000. Riordan mucked and Usterud called, taking the players heads up to the river.
A 2♦ completed the board and Martirosian used a time bank before moving out 160,000. Riordan also went in to a small tank before folding.
Viktor Blom opened to 8,500 from under the gun and Shrinag Gaddipati three-bet to 25,000 from the hijack. Brian Breck moved out 82,000 on the button and only Gaddipati called.
The 6♦J♠8♠ flop saw Gaddipati moved 235,000, covering Breck's 204,000 stack. Breck called and the players flipped their hands.
Brian Breck: A♣A♥7♣5♦
Shrinag Gaddipati: A♠Q♦9♠8♦
Breck had aces, but also flopped an open-ended striaght draw. Gaddipati was behind with a pair of eights and needed to pick up on the runout to secure the pot.
The 5♥ turn saw Gaddipati take a step closer to the striaght, and the 6♠ river brought him in the flush to take the pot and put a halt to Brecks run in the High Roller event.
Chance Kornuth raised to 8,500 in the cutoff, which only Joshua Mccully called on the button.
Kornuth continued for 11,500 on the J♠8♠9♥ flop, and once again, Mccully called.
The 8♦ turn saw Kornuth slow down with a check and fold when Mccully bet 16,500.
The action was caught with roughly 185,000 in the pot, and a full 8♥4♦8♠2♠3♣ board spread across the felt.
Chance Kornuth checked in the hijack, and the Yang Wang moved all in for 155,500.
Kornuth toiled over the decision, using all four of his remaining time extensions. Once the clock ticked down to zero for the final time, Kornuth's hand was officially dead. As Wang raked in the pot, Kornuth slid all of his time extension cards to the dealer.
