Mio Folds to Lau, Then Doubles

Level 19 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Hani Mio
Hani Mio

Hani Mio bet 220,000 into a pot of 245,000 from early position. Ka Kwan Lau called in the next seat over, after which the A was dealt as the turn.

Mio slowed down and checked. Lau quickly shoved in his stack of 390,000, and Mio folded within his 30-second shot clock.

A few hands later, Chongxian Yang limped in from middle position. Carlo van Ravenswoud followed suit on the button before Mio raised to 180,000 in the big blind.

Yang and Van Ravenswoud both called to the 67J flop, where Mio shoved all in for 400,000. Yang quickly called, while Van Ravenswoud got out of the way.

Hani Mio: KK86 All in
Chongxian Yang: AJJ4

Yang had flopped top set, but Mio celebrated when the 8Q runout provided him with a flush to double up and remain in contention.

Usterud Takes From Threadgill

Level 19 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Stian Usterud limped in from under the gun and then called a raise to 135,000 by Barrett Threadgill on the button. The J88 flop was checked by both players before Usterud bet the 4 turn for 150,000 and the 7 river for another 500,000.

Threadgill was a non-believer and called with a single chip but was left with visible frustration when his opponent rolled over the J1087 for a flopped full house.

At almost the same time one table over, Benjamin Juhasz sent Philip Marsico to the rail with half of the players at the table wishing to slow down the action on the all-in showdowns, while another wanted to "just rip that shit".

Chenxiang Miao raised to 105,000 in middle position and called when Sergio Martinez Gonzalez three-bet to 360,000 on the button. The players checked through the 49K flop before Mao bet 400,000 on the 10 turn.

Martinez Gonzalez quickly folded, surrendering the pot to Mao.

Full Double for Grech

Level 19 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Aaron Kupin limped in from under the gun, and Chance Kornuth did the same in the cutoff. Zachary Grech then raised to 150,000 from the small blind, which Kupin called, but Kornuth folded.

Grech slid a stack into the pot on the 376 flop, but before the dealer had counted the bet, Kupin announced "Pot", and Grech called all in for 635,000.

Zachary Grech: KK103 All in
Aaron Kupin: 7654

Kupin had flopped the nuts to have Grech at risk of elimination, but the deck favoured Grech on this occasion, as the Q improved him to a flush, with the 3 keeping him in the lead.

Four ways to the KJ62 turn, the action was checked to Dylan Linde and he bet 220,000 into a pot of 465,000. Jeremy Druckman called in the next seat whereas Steven Sarmiento and Artur Martirosian folded.

Linde then also bet the 10 river for 675,000, which represented more than half of his stack. Druckman shook his head almost instantly but eventually tossed in one chip for the call.

Linde revealed his AA108 for aces and the nut straight blocker, but Druckman collected the pot with his Q1098 for the king-high straight.

Level 19 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Gruffudd Pugh-Jones raised his button, and Hani Mio defended in the big blind.

The pair checked through the 2A8 flop, and Mio checked again on the Q turn. Pugh-Jones fired a bet of 150,000, which Mio snap-called.

The 4 river was then quickly checked to showdown, where Pugh-Jones revealed AAK5 to win the pot.

Over at another table, small blind Chenxiang Miao and Alex Foxen in the hijack were playing a three-bet pot worth 725,000. Miao checked the 8J6 flop over to Foxen, who bet 225,000. Miao called, after which the 5 turn was checked by both.

Miao checked a third time on the 10 river. Foxen announced a bet of 725,000, but Miao folded his hand before the chips could even hit the felt.

Adam Monaghan limped in from the small blind and called when Daniel Negreanu raised to 90,000 in the big blind.

Monaghan checked on the 2K3 flop, and Negreanu continued for 100,000. Monaghan folded, and Negreanu flashed him the K and the K.

"All the kings", Negreanu said.

Level 19 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Joao Simao limped in as did Ian Matakis in the small blind before Tom Vogelsang raised to 120,000 in the big blind. Only Simao called and they ended up checking all the way to the K9688 river, which brought no action either.

"Eight," Vogelsang announced and revealed his JJ108 to win the pot. All three players are separated by only a handful of big blinds in the middle of the pack during the penultimate level of the day.
