Langmann Dusts Dunst

With a raise to 750 from Florian Langmann and two callers in front of him, Tony Dunst raised it up to 3,150 from the big blind. Langmann was under the gun, and he put in another raise to 7,000. The two callers got out of the way, and Dunst committed his last chips with Langmann making the call.

Langmann: {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}
Dunst: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}

Dunst was looking good for a double up but the board had other ideas as it arrived {8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{8-Clubs} to give Langmann quads and sent Dunst to the exit. Langmann is up to 49,600 chips.

Lee Losing Ground

We caught up with the action on the river with about 12,000 already in the pot. The board read {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and Lee Nelson, who was UTG checked to his opponent who was on the button. The player on the button bet 3,500 and Nelson made the call. His opponent flipped over the {k-Spades}{k-Hearts} and Nelson mucked.

Nelson is now left with only 3,725.

Hamish & Andy Arrive

Hamish Blake with a subtle message
Hamish Blake with a subtle message
A couple of Hellmuthian arrivals into today's tournament are none other than Hamish Blake and Andy Lee.

Perhaps not big names in the world of International poker, but this dynamic duo are very popular comedians here in Australia and have ventured over to the States on a few occasions for various gigs and tours.

They were always intending to arrive late today due to previous media/work engagements.

Andy is representing 888poker here at the Aussie Millions but it appears that Hamish wasn't quite so fortunate as he's rocked up with a hat with "Between Sponsors" hand-written on it.

Warne's Flipper Fails

Shane Warne
Shane Warne
Shane Warne will have to wait until next year for another shot at the Aussie Millions Main Event title, as he's just been eliminated from the tournament by Andy Lichtenberger. Here's how the hand went down:

Lichtenberger opened the pot with a raise to 900 before the flop and the action made its way around the table to an unknown player on the button who called. The small blind folded, leaving it up to Warne in the big blind, who moved all in for a total of 4,125. Action then returned to Lichtenberger who moved all in over the top, isolating Warne, and the play worked.

With the button player out of the way, Lichtenberger and Warne participated in a preflop all-in showdown:

Warne: {Q-Diamonds}{J-Spades}
Lichtenberger: {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}

The ensuing board then ran out {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and Lichtenberger claimed the pot with ace-king high.

Four Levels to 60,000

Dani Stern, DeucesCracked member, and star of the G4 reality show Two Months, Two Million let us know he was sitting 60,000 currently. If he could take his stack from 20,000 to 100,000 today maybe we can film a new PokerNews web show. However, if it's 20,000 to 99,999 or less, we'll probably take a pass.

Lucky Sevens

On a {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts} board Grant Levy made a bet of 2,450 and was called by Michelle Clarke.

When the {j-Diamonds} hit the river, Levy tossed in a bet of 3,175 and was called by Clarke who tabled {7-Hearts}{k-Hearts} for trips and Levy tossed his cards in the muck.

Nelson Doubles with Broadway

Lee Nelson
Lee Nelson
Lee Nelson raised to 1,200 from middle position before the cutoff popped it up to 2,200. Nelson moved all in over the top for his last 7,525 and his opponent made the call.

Nelson: {A-Spades}{K-Spades}
Opponent: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}

Nelson was in a dominant position but that changed on the {J-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop. However the {10-Spades} on the turn was just what Nelson wanted to see as he made a Broadway straight. The river was the {A-Clubs} and Nelson doubles up.

"Did you get that hand?" Nelson asked our ever-efficient field reporter.

"Yep, you loved the turn?" we responded.

"Hahaha yeah!" chuckled Nelson as he gets himself up to 17,200 chips.
