Huijie Zhou Eliminated in 23rd Place (AU$61,500)

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Huijie Zhou
Huijie Zhou

Huijie Zhou limped the small blind and Robert Glasspool moved all in from the big blind, which resulted in the snap-call of Zhou for around 300,000.

Huijie Zhou: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}
Robert Glasspool: {A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

The {7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop gave Glasspool some back door outs and he made a pair with the {9-Spades} turn. Zhou needed to dodge a nine or ace, but the river came the {A-Diamonds} to end his run in 23rd place for AU$61,500.

Heaver Doubles Through Ong

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Dingxiang made it 55,000 to go from the cutoff and Greg Heaver jammed from one seat over. Short stack Jack Salter in the small blind seemed interested but ended up folding. Ong asked for a count and glanced over at the tournament info screen. The shove was deemed to be for 663,000 and Ong made the call.

Greg Heaver: {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Dingxiang Ong: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}

The board came {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}{3-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and Heaver doubled, leaving Ong with a mountain to climb.

Hinrichsen Wins a Big One Against Kenney

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

In a battle big blind versus button, Andrew Hinrichsen took on Bryn Kenney and check-called a bet on the {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} flop. On the {5-Diamonds} turn, Hinrichsen checked and called another bet worth 171,000 before checking the {K-Spades} river.

Kenney emptied the clip and bet 317,000, which resulted in a quick call by Hinrichsen. Kenney then turned over {8-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for a busted straight and flush draw, which Hinrichsen had beat with {K-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for kings up. Another heart on the board could have proven to be even more costly.

Wang into Chip Lead

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

On a {5-Spades}{4-Spades}{6-Clubs} flop David Wang check-called 100,000 from Andrew Theakstone. The turn was the {10-Clubs} and again Wang checked. Theakstone immediately bet another 100,000 and Wang called.

The river was the {7-Spades}. Wang moved all in and Theakstone folded.

Wang is almost up to two million chips and is looking like the tournament chip leader with 23 players remaining.

Taylor the Master of Flips

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Blind versus blind, Clinton Taylor ended up all in and at risk for 466,000 and had a flip against Matthew Wakeman in the small blind.

Clinton Taylor: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Matthew Wakeman: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}

The {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} flop improved Taylor to top two pair, and he doubled after the {6-Clubs} turn and {3-Hearts} river were blanks.

"You gonna have to teach me how to flip," Pim De Goede joked to Taylor.
