Fast Calls Twice, Wins Once

Level 16 : 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Dietrich Fast
Dietrich Fast

First, Dietrich Fast doubled up Kemal Aslan on the river where a backdoor spade draw completed. Aslan shoved all in for 48,000 and Fast snapped him off with {j-Spades}{10-Spades}, only to be shown {a-Spades}{4-Spades} for a higher flush.

A few hands later, Fast was on the right side of the equation in a hand against Dinesh Alt. With the {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{j-Hearts} board completed, Alt used a time bank card before betting 67,000 and Fast called it off after burning through one of his extensions as well.

Alt indicated Fast was good before revealing {j-Spades}{9-Spades}. Fast showed {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} and moved up over the 400K mark.

The next hand, Alt also lost an all-in with {a-Spades}{8-Clubs} against short stack Renato Hysenbelli, who had shoved his last 45,000 with {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}. A ten-high board left Alt behind with 105,000 in chips.

Wu Doubles Through O'Grady With "Help" From Szecsi

Level 16 : 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Yake Wu was all in against Michael O'Grady pre-flop. Wu held {k-Spades}{q-Clubs} but was up against the {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades} of O'Grady.

"Better than ace-x," said Szecsi as the flop came {9-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}, visibly deflating the at risk Wu.

"Ten?" said Szecsi and the turn came the {10-Hearts}. Szecsi remained silent ahead of the impending river card, which was the {j-Spades} completing a backdoor straight for Wu.
