Leknes Jumps Into the Chip Lead

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Tobias Leknes
Tobias Leknes

Tobias Leknes made it 30,000 to go from the cutoff, and Martin Nielsen called out of the big blind.

The flop came 2Q8 and Nielsen checked it over to Leknes, who bet 25,000. Nielsen raised to 80,000, and Leknes took some time before he called.

A 9 fell on the turn and Nielsen continued to show strength with a bet of 175,000, but Leknes wasn't going anywhere just yet and called.

When the 3 fell on the river, Nielsen reached for chips and put out a bet of 500,000. Leknes had around 1,350,000 in his stack and was considering how to proceed for some time. Eventually, he did drop in the call.

Nielsen was first to show and flipped over 104 for a total bluff, and Leknes flipped over a pair of queens with AQ to scoop a monster pot.

Lars Tungel
Lars Tungel

It's been a great opening level for Lars Tungel, who has grown his stack to around 1,800,000. A chunk of those chips came in a hand against Andre Plaza Marcano.

Tungel opened the button to 25,000 and Marcano flicked in the call from the big blind. They went to a flop of AAQ, where Marcano check-called a bet of 25,000 from Tungel.

Both checked the 7 turn to the 10 river, where Marcano led for 40,000. Tungel was having none of it and raised to 125,000, which Marcano quickly called.

Tungel then showed that he rivered a straight with KJ, and Marcano binned his cards.
