The fourth starting flight of Event #16: $500,000 partypoker Canadain Grand Prix has come to an end with 25 players remaining. Friday afternoon's Day 1d attracted a field of 242 entries.

Leading the way at the end of play was David Lanthier, bagging a top stack of 656,000. Also sitting at the top of the leaderboard were Joey Boczek (490,000), Basil Glezakos (415,000), Julien Aubin (372,000), and Adam Ettinger (348,000).

A number of notables and familiar faces around Playground took their shot this afternoon. A few failing to survive include Jeff Madsen, Buddy Villaluz, Grant Ellis, Chris McClung, Charles La Boissonniere, and Kenneth Wigfield

Players will have six more opportunities to qualify for Day 2, live at Playground. There are two more starting flights on Friday evening, and another four on Saturday.
