Set for Ho

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Kyle Ho
Kyle Ho

Kyle Ho opened to 90,000 from the hijack and Nick Yunis three-bets to 250,000 on the cutoff. Action folded back to Ho who added the remainder to call.

The flop came {k-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and Ho check-called a bet of 175,000 from Yunis.

The turn brought the {10-Hearts} and the action was checked around to the {4-Hearts} river. Both players checked again. Ho tabled {5-Clubs}{5-Hearts} for a flopped set and Yunis flashed the {k-Diamonds} before sending his hand to the muck.

Wantman Flops a Set

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Picking up the action on the turn with the board reading {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}, the action was on Matthew Wantman who bet 190,000 into a pot of around 300,000. John Simunich check-raised to 525,000. Wantman shoved all in for 985,000 and Simunich quickly called.

Wantman turned over {5-Spades}{5-Clubs} for a set of fives while Simunich was drawing dead with {a-}{k-}. The insignificant {q-Spades} completed the board and Simunich sent over a double up.

Sinclair Shows the Improbable Bluff

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Jack Sinclair
Jack Sinclair

A completed board of {9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{6-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{3-Spades} was spread across the felt with around 300,000 in the pot. There was already a bunch of action on the river that Steven Buckner was kind enough to break down:

Bob Shao checked from the big blind and Jack Sinclair bet 190,000 on the button. Shao check-raised to 600,000, leaving himself with just 305,000 behind. Sinclair responded by shoving all in and Shao was forced into the tank.

It was about eight minutes later that Shao finally made his decision and he tossed his cards to the muck. "Now is a good time to show a bluff," the table said.

Sinclair turned over {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for just ace-high and the table was still left in shock that Shao didn't call off his last 300,000 chips.

Sixes Are Good for Cutler

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Alan Cutler raised to 70,000 from early position and Oren Rosen called from the small blind along with Diogo Veiga in the big blind.

Players saw a flop of {k-Hearts}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs} and action checked to Cutler who threw in a bet of 90,000. Rosen folded and Veiga check-called.

The dealer burned and turned the {9-Spades} that was checked through to the {q-Hearts} river. Both players opted to check once more and Veiga tabled {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds} but that wasn't good enough as Cutler showed {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} to win the pot.

Loving Hits a King to Double Through King

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Denis Timofeev raised to 65,000 from the hijack and Carlos Loving shipped all in for 435,000 on the button. Richard King asked for a count from the big blind and then made the call. Timofeev folded and the two hands were tabled.

Carlos Loving: {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Richard King: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

It was Loving that was looking for a king and he found one on the {k-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} flop. The {k-Spades} improved his hand on the turn and the {j-Hearts} on the river secured him a double up.
