Ahuja Wins a Monster Flip for the Chip Lead

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

The action folded around to the button who raised it up to 105,000. Tim West called from the small blind and Ashish Ahuja three-bet to 425,000 in the big blind. The button four-bet shoved all in for around 2,300,000 which got West to fold but Ahuja called.

Ashish Ahuja: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Opponent: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

The flop came {6-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and Ahuja was still trailing his opponent's pocket tens. The turn was the {4-Hearts} which changed nothing, but the {a-Hearts} on the river was exactly what Ahuja was looking for. He scooped a monster pot to vault himself over the 5 million chip mark.

Chi Tang: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Ioannis Angelou Konstas: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

"Super Nice Fold"

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Eric Cruz raised to 95,000 from the hijack and David Pham called from the big blind.

A flop reading {9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{2-Clubs} was dealt and Cruz checked to Pham who fired 150,000. Cruz check-called.

The turn came the {6-Clubs} and both players checked it to the {7-Spades} river. Pham threw in a bet of 120,000 and Cruz took a few seconds of reflection.

"120.000. A lesser man would have called you. But I won't let you bluff me," muttered Cruz while folding his hand.

"I turned a flush," commented Pham.

"Nice bet," said Cruz.

"He never told you nice fold, did he?" added a player at the table.

"Super nice fold!" Pham told Cruz.

"I'm not folding again," responded Cruz.

Deadman Comes Alive

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Kevin Wang was on the button and facing a raise from a player in early position. Wang stuck in a three-bet to 220,000 and Simon Deadman four-bet shoved all in for 780,000 in the small blind. The initial raiser folded and Wang made the call.

Simon Deadman: {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Kevin Wang: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}

Despite being dominated, Deadman pulled ahead on the flop of {k-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}. The {j-Spades} on the turn gave Wang a straight draw but the {3-Hearts} on the river ensured Deadman of a double up.

"That's king-queen?" another player across the table asked. "I thought you had kings!"

"Well I have two clubs," Deadman responded. "They didn't come last time so I thought it was more likely they would hit this time."

Miracle River for Bagheri

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

The board read {5-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs} with a five-card straight spread across the felt. David Bagheri bet 350,000 into a pot of around 250,000 and Tyler Patterson shipped all in. Bagheri snapped him off for his last 1,045,000 chips.

Patterson turned over {8-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for an eight-high straight but Bagheri tabled {9-Spades}{8-Clubs} for a nine-high straight in order to double up.

"Man, how do you bet that flop?" Patterson asked. "I have hearts and that's the only hand I lose to."
