Taylor Eyes Another Final Table

Level 8 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

Thomas Taylor, fresh off a third-place finish in the $1,500 Seven Card Stud event earlier today, has jumped into this tournament and just dragged in a big pot.

Taylor was in the big blind and check-raised a bet from a player in early position on a flop of {10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}. His opponent called and they saw the turn of {3-Hearts}.

Taylor led out with a bet and the early position player called. The river was the {5-Clubs} and Taylor was again called.

The Canadian turned over {k-Clubs}{q-Spades} for top pair on the flop and his opponent mucked.

Three Streets for Ramos

Three players saw the flop of {k-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and Ramos was checked to in the cutoff before putting in a bet, and both the button and the big blind made the call.

The {2-Diamonds} fell on the turn, the big blind checked and Ramos wasted little time putting in another bet. This time he was called by only the button.

The {6-Spades} completed the board and Ramos tossed in another bet. His opponent gave it a couple of seconds and tossed in a call. Ramos tabled {k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for kings and sixes and the button mucked her hand.

Shiller Wins, Lonis Lording Over the Table

Level 7 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

In a three-bet pot, Brendan Shiller checked from the cutoff on a flop of {a-Spades}{8-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and called a bet from a player on the button.

The turn came the {5-Spades} and Shiller again check-called a bet. On the {9-Spades} river, Shiller checked, then raised when his opponent bet. He was met with a call and turned over {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for two pair to win the pot.

Also at this table are Jesse Lonis, who sports one of the largest stacks in the room, and Sam "Slowroll Sammy" Jaramillo. "I'm the limit king. This is how I started before I began playing tournaments," Lonis said.

Zinno Gets Caught

Level 7 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

Anthony Zinno raised on the button and Eddie Mallon defended the big blind.

The dealer spread a flop of {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and both players checked to the {a-Diamonds} turn.

Once checked to, Zinno bet and was quickly called.

The {k-Spades} was the river and Zinno fired again after Mallon checked and he was called quickly. "Jack high," declared Zinno. Mallon flipped over the {6-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for a pair of sixes and took down the pot.

Friedman Starts Off With a Winner

Level 7 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

On one of the first hands back from break, Adam Friedman and Kenny Hsiung went heads-up to a flop of {q-Hearts}{7-Spades}{3-Diamonds}. Friedman checked over to Hsiung, then called a bet.

Both players checked the {j-Clubs} turn before Friedman led out after the {7-Diamonds} river. Hsiung called but mucked when the four-time bracelet winner showed {q-Spades}{10-Spades} for top pair.
