Johnson Doubles Shirasawa's Big Blind Special

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

With the flop reading 386, Marco Johnson had bet 7,800 chips into a pot of 10,200 from middle position, after a check from Kazuhiro Shirasawa in the big blind.

Shirasawa then jammed all in for 33,700, sending Johnson into the tank. Eventually, he made the call to put his Japanese opponent at risk.

Kazuhiro Shirasawa: 83 All in
Marco Johnson: 76

The 5 turn brought Johnson a straight draw, but the 2 river did nothing to help Johnson, doubling up Shirasawa.

Check-Raise Gets it Done for Tinfow

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Kurtis Tinfow opened to 1,800 from early position and then called after a player three-bet to 4,500 from middle position.

Tinfow checked following the KQ9 flop. His opponent continued for 3,500 only to see Tinfow put in a raise to 11,000. That was enough to convince the middle position player to get out of the way as Tinfow added some more chips to his large stack.

Beck and His Origami Bird Snap One Off With Kings

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Andrew Lichtenberger raised to 1,800 in middle position before Philip Beck three-bet to 6,600 in middle position. The small blind then moved all in for around 20,000, Lichtenberger folded, while Beck snap called.

All-In Player: QQ All in
Philip Beck: KK

Beck had woken up with kings to leave his opponent at risk of elimination as the board ran out 228A10, securing the pot for Beck and sending the small blind to the rail.

"I wasn't going to do this unless I doubled up or something," Beck said as he got up from his seat.

"Backflip?" Lichtenberger joked.

"I don't do flips. When I was in line to register on Friday, I met a sweet lady who made this. It keeps you zen," Beck added as he took a blue Origami bird figurine out of his backpack and placed it on top of his chips.

Setters Rivers The Nut Flush to Bust Herrera

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Terry Setters raised to 3,100 from under the gun, he was called by Alejandro Herrera in the hijack, and Laurie Tournier in the small blind.

The flop came 323 and Setters bet out 6,000. Herrera made the call, and Tournier folded.

After the 7 on the turn, Setters bet 10,200 before Herrera raised all in for 25,000. After quickly debating his decision, Setters made the call to put Herrera at risk.

Alejandro Herrera: JJ All in
Terry Setters: AK

Herrera was ahead with his pocket jacks, but he would need to fade an ace, king, or heart to stay in the tournament. But he was unable to do so as the 8 hit on the river, to give Setters the nut flush, and knock Herrera out of the tournament.
