Dudani Shoves into Aces

Christopher Richardson opened to 5,000 from middle position and Simon Lindell called from the hijack. Shiva Dudani moved all in for their remaining stack of approximately 30,000 from the big blind and Richardson re-jammed. Lindell made a quick fold and the players headed to showdown.

The 9♦5♦8♥ flop saw little change for Dudani and with no clubs he was looking for running jacks or a straight draw. The 2♣ turn saw him drawing dead, and he stood from the table knowing his fate was already set.

As the 9♠ river was placed he was already walking away from the table and Richardson scooped up the pot.

Jankovic Cracks Mustafov's Aces

Gabriel Baleeiro raised to 4,000 on the button before Fahredin Mustafov three-bet to 16,000 in the small blind. Aleksandar Jankovic then four-bet to 36,000 in the big blind and Baleeiro folded, while Mustafov called.

The flop came K♥5♥6♦ and Jankovic bet 15,000. Mustafov called to see the 3♥ turn, where Jankovic bet another 35,000. Mustafov then moved all in for 75,000, and Jankovic snap-called.

Mustafov's pocket aces were in trouble as Jankovic had flopped top set. Mustafov needed an ace or a heart on the river to survive, but he missed the Q♠ river and was sent to the rail.

Main Event champions Joe Cada and Daniel Weinman have both been eliminated.

On a flop of J♦9♠4♠, Canada's Leslie Jones got it in with the K♥K♠ after he was jammed upon by Natham Neto with the Q♠3♠.

The 6♠ turn improved Neto to the queen-high flush and the 4♥ river ended Jones's run, who sighed that "nobody will remember this" and that he "should have just shoved" presumably preflop.

The action was recounted to PokerNews by the players at the table.

Antuan Bunkley opened from under the gun before Xuejun Huang responded with a three-bet to 11,000 on the button. Bunkley four-bet to 39,500, but the bidding did not stop there. Huang opted to five-bet jam for approximately 150,000, and Bunkley called to put himself at risk for slightly less.

Bunkley was well ahead of Huang, and the flop did not alter that when it fanned out 6♣Q♠9♥.

The turn was safe for Bunkley when it peeled the 6♠.

Just when it appeared he was headed for a big double-up on Day 2abc, the river brought about his demise as the K♥ came down to bust Bunkley in dramatic fashion.

Halabi Flats Aces and Gets Klinger's Whole Stack

On a flop of J♦8♣2♦ in a single-raised pot, Daniel Klinger led for 4,500 from middle position before Tamer Halabi raised to 12,500 on his left. Klinger responded with a three-bet to 20,000. Despite not actually being a legal raise, no one at the table batted an eye as Halabi slid his stack forward as the covering player, and Klinger called all in for roughly 65,000 total.

Klinger flopped top pair, top kicker with the ace of diamonds after Halabi just flatted with aces preflop. It was a cooler scenario as the case A♥ fell on the turn, leaving Klinger drawing dead to the Q♦ river.

On a heads-up flop of K♠5♦4♠, Sargon Guliana check-raised all in for 27,500 in the big blind. Pierre-Alexandre Lessard in the cutoff had bet 3,500 and asked for an exact count, then called a few seconds later with the far larger stack.

Martin Ward was spotted on his way out and the New Zealander said, "I got it in ahead but he flopped it." Ward was at risk with 8♦8♥ against the A♣K♣ of Matheus Almeida and fell behind right away to miss out on a deeper run.

Another short stack at risk was Justin Manjares for the last 21,000 with K♠J♦ on the button against the 9♣5♣ of Brian Robinson out of the big blind on a K♥5♠4♣ flop. The 7♠ turn and Q♥ river were both blanks for Manjares to survive.
