Fair Plays the Role of the Grinch

Charles "Woody" Moore limped in from the hijack before Chun Kwok raised to 50,000 in the small blind. Nathan Fair called in the big blind, as did Moore.

The flop came 4♥3♦Q♣ and Kwok continued for 60,000. Fair then raised to 150,000 and Moore moved all in for 175,000. Kwok folded, while Fair called to put Moore at risk.

"Good luck, Santa," Fair told Moore.

"I'm in bad shape," Moore added, and the rest of the board ran out 10♥9♣ to send Moore to the rail. Kwok then admitted he also had ace-queen.

"Who killed Santa?" one of the ESPN production crew asked.

"The grinch," Fair replied, and Moore went around the table to shake his tablemates hands before heading to the exit.

Zhao Leaves Owens WIth Nothing

Kyle Grosshanten raised to 27,000 from under the gun and Cheng Zhao called on the button. George Owens then jammed for 151,000 from the big blind, and only Zhao made the call.

Cheng Zhao: 7♣7♥

It looked like Owens had taken the lead in the race after the dealer put the A♣ in the window, but it was followed by the Q♦7♦, giving Zhao a set and a stranglehold on the hand.

Owens was drawing dead after the 3♠ turn, making the 2♣ river a mere formality.

Owens shook Zhao's hand and wished the table good luck before making his exit from the cluster area.

Min-Click Does Not Work Out for Teibloom

Sam Snead raised it to 35,000 in the cutoff. Jeremy Hyman called in the small blind before Eugene Teibloom three-bet to 70,000 in the big blind.

Snead and Hyman both called, seeing Teibloom continue for 100,000 on the 4♥3♥8♠ flop. Snead quickly check-called before Hyman check-folded.

Teibloom sized up to 150,000 on the A♠ turn. Snead called again, after which Teibloom quickly moved all in for 300,000 on the K♥ river.

Snead snap-called. Teibloom tabled A♣K♣, fearing he might be in trouble, and he was right as Snead had 7♥5♥ for the rivered flush, knocking his opponent out.

Three-way on a flop of 3♠7♥9♣ with 120,000 in the pot, Jesse Green under the gun jammed for 60,000. Giuseppe Pantaleo to his left raised all in for 170,000, and Jeff Hatten later regretted his fold in the big blind.

Green moved all in with top pair but ran into queens. The K♥ turn and the 8♦ river changed nothing and Green was eliminated.

Alfred Karlsson opened to 25,000 under the gun before Dimitrios Kilintaris three-bet to 80,000 from middle position. With the action back on Karlsson, he four-bet jammed his entire stack for 453,000. Kilintaris asked for a count and pondered the decision for 30 seconds before putting in the call.

Karlsson bluffed at the wrong time but he held live cards against the big slick of Kilintaris. However, the K♥K♦J♦ flop put Kilintaris firmly into the lead. The 6♥6♣ runout could not save Karlsson, and his Main Event run was cut short as Kilintaris improved to kings-full.

Martin Zamani raised to 30,000 in middle position. David Karlin called in the cutoff before Akay Behchet moved his last 70,000 over the line on the button. Shreesh Hebbar four-bet to 200,000, which Zamani quickly called.

Karlin got out of the way for the A♦K♣K♦ flop to be fanned. Hebbar continued for 75,000, quickly folding Zamani out of the pot.

After making sure he had received the pot, Hebbar tabled his cards. After some moments, the at-risk Behchet followed suit.

Shreesh Hebbar: J♠J♥

"Oh, a little slowroll. Why did you wait so long? Do you enjoy that?" big stack Chi Wei Fan playfully teased Behchet.

No running jacks appeared on the 5♣4♣ turn and river, securing Behchet his double-up.
