While all other tables were barren of players, Ruslan Volkov and Michele Pucci were still battling. Volkov had raised to 25,000 from the button before Pulci three-bet to 75,000 from the small blind.
Volkov then jammed, covering Pucci's stack of roughly 300,000 chips. Pucci pondered for a moment before making the call, and the players showed down.
Michele Pucci: A♣Q♠
Ruslan Volkov: 3♠3♣
The board ran out 8♥2♦7♣4♥2♠ and Volkov won the pot with his pocket pair.
Pucci let his opponent know he was not happy with the play, but Volkov just shrugged his shoulders and kept stacking chips onto his impressive tower.

Picking up the action on the 8♦5♥3♥9♣ turn, Dario Sammartino checked and then called a bet worth 200,000 by the table chip leader Keneshka Kabir from one seat over.
Sammartino checked again the 4♣ on the river and Kabir took just a few seconds before announcing all-in.
That sent the Italian into the tank for five minutes as the end of the level was reached. Sammartino then called and Kabir revealed his Q♦10♣ for a bluff gone wrong.
Sammartino slammed his A♦K♣ on the felt for a hero-call with ace-king high and doubled for 512,000 to put a big dent into Kabir's stack.

In a blind versus blind battle, Yulian Bogdanov bet 60,000 on a flop of Q♥Q♠K♠ and Daniel Dvoress then raised to 135,000.
Bogdanov called and the 10♣ fell on the turn. He checked over to Dvoress, and Dvoress then bet 165,000. Bogdanov came back with an all-in shove and sent Dvoress deep in the tank.
Dvoress spent several minutes shaking his head and counting out his stack before calling for around 500,000. He turned over Q♣7♣ for trips, while Bogdanov had K♦10♦.
"I knew you had a queen," Bogdanov said as he was one card away from handing over the massive double up. The river, though, brought the K♣ and Bogdanov spiked a full house to send Dvoress crashing to the rail in sudden fashion.

Rehman Kassam and Martin Wolf were heads-up on a flop of 5♦3♠9♦ when Wolf got his last 170,000 in the middle from under the gun and Kassam called in the big blind.
Martin Wolf: J♣9♣
Rehman Kassam: A♦3♦
Wolf had top pair, but Kassam held a pair and nut flush draw. The 9♠ turn improved Wolf to trips, but Kassam spiked the 10♦ on the river to make his flush and bust another opponent.

Ramon Kropmanns ended his massage prematurely and his cards were already mucked out of the big blind, as the chips were pushed to Max Neugebauer. The latter had raised from under the gun and flopped the nuts with J♠10♠ on 9♠8♦7♦.
According to Neugebauer, Kropmanns had open-jammed the big blind with the Q♠9x for top pair on the flop. The Q♥ turn gave the Brazilian some outs to escape but the 8♥ river was not among them.
One hand later, Eric Tsai raised to 25,000 and called the shove by Vladas Tamasauskas for 50,000 total.
Vladas Tamasauskas: K♦Q♦
Eric Tsai: A♥J♦
"Do you take a chop?" Tamasauskas joked and Tsai predicted a six-seven-eight flop. The latter almost came true on 8♣7♠4♦ before the A♦ turn gave Tsai the top pair and Tamasauskas the nut flush draw.
Nothing changed with the A♣ river as it was only Tsai who improved to trips aces, sending the next player to the rail.

After a bet and a call went in on a flop of 6♦3♠Q♥, Ioannis Angelou-Konstas and Kevin Roethlisberger both checked the 10♥ turn.
The 5♥ river completed the board and Angelou-Konstas led for 29,000. Roethlisberger called quickly and Angelou-Konstas tabled J♥J♦ for a pair of jacks.
However, Roethlisberger had one better with K♣Q♠ for a pair of queens.
"No bet on the turn?", someone at the table asked.
"I'm a pussy," Roethlisberger explained while he raked in the chips.

Arvydas Merfeldas survived the bubble with just 3,000 and got his last chips in the middle from the cutoff against Omar Eljach in middle position.
Arvydas Merfeldas: 7♣5♣
Omar Eljach: A♦J♥
The flop came A♥A♣2♠ and Eljach made trips to take a big lead. "Four of clubs for a sweat," Eljach said.
The 8♣ fell on the turn and Merfeldas picked up a flush draw. "Now there's a sweat," Eljach said, but Merfeldas missed the K♥ river and joined the line at the payout desk.
