WSOP Day 12: Duhamel Looks for 4th Bracelet, Negreanu Advances to Day 2
Plenty of big names will be battling it out for the top spots in the Rio on Sunday and that includes 2010 Main Event Champion Jonathan Duhamel, who is among the final 10 players in the $565 Pot-Limit Omaha.
In other events, four WSOP Main Event champions advanced to Day 2 in the Millionaire Maker: Ryan Riess, 888poker ambassador Martin Jacobson, Joe Cada, and Joe McKeehen.
Several big names also return for Day 2 of the $1,500 Eight Game Mix including Jon Turner, Daniel Negreanu, Anthony Zinno, and David Bach.
With two events needing an extra day, it's going to be a busy day at the World Series of Poker.
Event #11B: PLO GIANT - $365 Pot-Limit Omaha
This is the second Sunday in this multi-flight event with Day 1 starting flights spread out over June 3, 10, 17, 24, and July 1. After the first flight, Pete Arroyos leads the field with 1,757,000 chips. Out of 423 entries, only 19 remained to move on to Day 2 on July 2.
The event allows for unlimited re-entry and payouts start on Day 1. Players begin with 25,000 in chips and blind levels are 20 minutes on Day 1 and 40 minutes on Days 2 and 3. The gigantic Omaha event gets started at 7 p.m. Get your fix by following the live updates here.
Event #17: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em 6-Handed
After three days of play, the final six will return to the Rio on Sunday to play to a winner. An extra fourth day was added so the event can be live streamed.
Joey Weissman leads with 3,683,000 chips. Weissman is looking for his second bracelet after winning the $2,500 No-Limit Hold'em in 2012 for $694,609.
Rounding out the final table are fellow bracelet winner Ryan D'Angelo (2,350,000), Ognyan Dimov (2,560,000), Antonio Barbato (2,205,000), two-time bracelet winner Nick Schulman (861,000), and Yue Du (796,000).
The winner of this will take home $293,275 after 1,663 players entered for a $2.2 million prize pool. Day 4’s final table begins at noon and check back with PokerNews to see who will come out on top. PokerGO will also be streaming this final table.
Event #18: $10,000 Dealer's Choice 6-Handed
An extra day of play has also been added with three players returning on Sunday to determine who takes home the $293,275 first-place prize and the World Series of Poker bracelet in the $10,000 Dealer's Choice.
Leading the final three is Adam Friedman (3,075,000 chips), followed by Alexey Makarov (1,325,000) and Stuart Rutter (1,145,000). Friedman is looking for his second bracelet with his two accomplished opponents hoping for their first.

Event #19: $565 Pot-Limit Omaha
The low buy-in PLO event brings back 10 players for Day 3 after a total of 1,193 entries were made for a prize pool of $595,500.
Canadian Maxime Heroux leads those remaining with 2,430,000 in chips. He’s looking for his second major score after winning the $3,500 WPT Montreal event in November for $317,554.
Others just behind Heroux include Craig Varnell (1,570,000) and Ilian Li (1,410,000). Also in the mix is 2010 Main Event Champion Jonathan Duhamel (1,570,000), who is looking for his fourth bracelet and to push his WSOP career winning closer to the $15 million mark.

Event #20: Big Blind Antes $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em
The Big Blind Ante Hold’em action returns to the Rio for Day 3 with 24 players remaining and the winner taking home $537,710.
Chris Bolek leads the field with 1,129,000 in chips and looking for his second bracelet after winning the $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em Bounty event in 2017 for $266,646.
Others, just behind Bolek, include Kenneth Smaron (990,000), Jake Schindler (926,000), Ran Ilani (924,000), and Shawn Buchanan (846,000). Other notables remaining include Seth Davies (812,000), Arne Ruge (166,000), Stephen Chidwick (164,000), and two-time bracelet winner Kristen Bicknell (106,000).
Players could register until the start of Day 2 and a total of 518 bought in for a $2.2 million prize pool. Justin Bonomo, who entered the event after winning his Heads Up bracelet and finished Day 1 with a sizable stack, was eliminated in 29th place.

Event #21: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em MILLIONAIRE MAKER
The second Day 1 flight gets started on Sunday and plenty of players will be looking to take their shots at a million bucks. After Saturday’s first flight, there were 3,046 entries in this mega-tournament with 458 players making it through to Day 2 on Monday.
Kyle Hartree led the first flight wit 208,500 in chips, followed by James Dempsey (167,400) and Nick Schwarmann (165,800).
Four WSOP Main Event champions advanced to Day 2 including: Ryan Riess (70,600), 888poker ambassador Martin Jacobson (70,100), Joe Cada (42,400), and Joe McKeehen (58,800).
Other notables advancing include 888poker ambassador Chris Moorman (71,400), JC Tran (140,200), Blair Hinkle (124,400), Jack Sinclair (109,400), Faraz Jaka (105,00), and Vinny Pahuja (100,000).
Players begin with 7,500 chips and levels are 60 minutes. Each player will be allowed one re-entry per flight. Day 2 begins on Monday in this four-day event.
Last year’s million-dollar winner was Pablo Mariz, who actually took home $1,221,407 and his first bracelet. Sunday’s second Day 1 flight begins at 10 a.m. and PokerNews will be there for all the updates.
Event #22: $1,500 Eight Game Mix
Who will be the mixed-game master in this event? After the first day, 134 players remain looking for a top payout of $147,348.
Jon Turner leads the field with 76,000 in chips, followed by Anson Tsang (75,350), Farzad Rouhani (68,200), Jeff Madsen (65,000), and David Bach (63,000).
Other returning include Daniel Negreanu (45,775), Anthony Zinno (33,600), James Obst (33,525), Ben Yu (33,500), Scott Seiver (32,000), and Benny Glaser (25,600).

Event #23: $10,000 No-Limit 2-7 Lowball Draw Championship
A major event among pros with big bankrolls; this event should attract plenty of big names looking for a lowball title.
Play kicks off at 3 p.m. with 60-minute levels and 50,000 starting stacks. Players are also allowed one re-entry.
