WSOP Day 21: Michael Mizrachi Aims for Third $50K PPC Title, 6 Remain
The final table is now set in Event #33: $50,000 Poker Players Championship, where Michael Mizrachi leads the way as he looks for his third victory in the PPC. John Hennigan and Benny Glaser are also among the final six seeking another piece of hardware.
It's a busy day today, with Event #36: $1,000 Super Seniors No-Limit Hold'em and Event #34: $1,000 DOUBLE STACK No-Limit Hold'em both getting closer to finding winners on third days of play. Tuesday will additionally see two new events get started, including the popular Event #39: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em Shootout.
Event #33: $50,000 Poker Players Championship
After four days and 87 entries, the final table is set in this prestigious event. Michael Mizrachi leads the final six players with 8,865,000 and is looking for his fifth bracelet overall and third in this event. He also won the PPC in 2010 and 2012, and has a big chance add a third title and and $1,239,126 top prize.
Rounding out the field are Dan Smith (4,485,000), Aaron Katz (2,600,000), John Hennigan (2,400,000), Benny Glaser (2,210,000), and Mike Leah (1,220,000). That's an impressive final six.
Hennigan will be shooting for his second bracelet of the summer and seventh overall after winning Event #27: $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. just a few days ago for a $414,692 first prize. Leah may be on the short stack, but happy to be coming back with a chance at a title.

Event #34: $1,000 DOUBLE STACK No-Limit Hold'em
There will be 162 players returning for Day 3 of the DOUBLE STACK with Daniel Colpoys coming back as chip leader (1,405,000). He is looking for his first WSOP bracelet and the $644,224 first prize.
Only 1,280 players returned for yesterday's second day in this new event that attracted a total field of 5,700 entries after two starting flights, creating a prize pool of $5,130,000. Behind Colpoys right now are David Kaiura (1,237,00), Yosuke Sekiya (1,208,000), Steven Tymms (1,062,000), and Stevan Chew (998,000).
Others advancing include Isaac Baron (942,000), Mike Del Vecchio (888,000), Andrey Zaichenko (819,000), Tony Dunst (571,000), Maria Lampropulos (262,000), Richard Dubini (125,000), and Alex Rocha (87,000).

Event #35: $1,500 Mixed Omaha
After three days in this mixed Omaha event, only three players remain, causing a fourth day to be added. Yueqi Zhu leads the final three players with 4,515,000 chips. Zhu has 71 WSOP career cashes for more than $1.23 million, but is still looking for that first bracelet. Zhu already has six small WSOP cashes this summer.
Second in chips is Gabriel Ramos (970,000) who has just over $90,000 in live tournament winnings and looking for a breakthrough win. Carol Fuchs returns third in chips and is looking for her second bracelet after winning the $1,500 Dealer's Choice Six Handed event in 2015 for $127,735. She also has two cashes already this summer including finishing 11th in $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. for $25,498.

Event #36: $1,000 Super Seniors No-Limit Hold'em
Two days are in the books in this one, and today 43 players will return out of a field of 2,219 entries. Jerry Weber leads the returnees with 573,000 chips followed by Paul W. Lee (573,000), John Borzio (523,000), Linda Iwaniak (521,000), and James Brown (513,000).
The large turnout created a prize pool just short of $2 million and the winner will take home $311,451. Players return to the tables at 11 a.m. and PokerNews will be there for you. Click here for the live updates.
Event #37: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em
After the first day in this event, 236 players return out of a field of 1,330, each hoping for a bracelet and the top prize of $319,580. Leading the field currently is Kirk Banks with 179,100, followed by Michael Rocco (160,000), Duy Ho (158,500), Joe Couden (155,900), Anatoly Filatov (129,000), and Stephen Song (124,600).
Others returning include Aaron Massey (97,000), Eoghan O'Dea (91,200), bestselling writer Maria Konnikova (88,200), Andy Frankenberger (80,300), and Barry Greenstein (11,500).

Event #38: $10,000 Seven Card Stud Championship
There were plenty of big names in the field for this big stud event, and Ben Yu leads after the first day with 280,000. A total of 76 entered with 29 remaining, but the field should grow as players have until the start of Day 2 to register.
Daniel Negreanu sits second in 212,000 while other top stacks include Al Barbieri (208,000), Scott Seiver (202,500), Mark Gregorich (153,000), Jesse Martin (149,000), Robert Mizrachi (142,500), and Matt Grapenthien (139,500).

Event #39: $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em Shootout
Survive and advance. That will be the plan for those entering this three-day event that kicks off today, one in which players will try to win three straight sit-n-gos in order to earn a WSOP gold bracelet. Last year Israel's Ben Maya took the top prize of $257,764 in this one after the event drew 1,025 entries to build a big prize pool of $1,383,750.

Event #40: $2,500 Mixed Big Bet
Last year Jens Lakemeier of Austria won the inaugural version of this event to claim his first bracelet and a $112,232 first prize. There were 197 entries a year ago, creating a prize pool of $443,250.
Games featured in the mix include no-limit hold'em, both pot-limit Omaha and pot-limit Omaha hi-lo, 2-7 no-limit draw, 5-card draw, Big O, and 2-7 pot-limit triple draw.
