Day 26 of the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas was a three-bracelet day.
The biggest story of the day was Benny Glaser's victory in Event #56: $2,500 Mixed Triple Draw Lowball where he won his third bracelet of the series and eighth overall.
Kristopher Tong beat a 21-bracelet final table to win his first WSOP gold in the Event #55: $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. Championship.
Meanwhile, Brett Lim won the $1,000 Seniors event, outlasting a field of 7,575 entries.
Elsewhere, the Millionaire Maker prize pool broke $16.5 million, Biao Ding leads the final 11 in the PLO High Roller, and Gus Hansen bagged a Day 1 stack in the $3,000 9-Game Mix.
Millionaire Maker Prize Pool Set At $16,545,483

Robert Fluereci ended Day 1d of Event #53: $1,500 Millionaire Maker No-Limit Hold'em with 900,000 in chips.
When play closed, he led the day's field of 1,027 survivors culled from 4,419 entries. This turnout brought the total number of entries to the event to 11,996 and the total prize pool to $16,545,483.
Among those who bagged on Day 1d were previous bracelet winners Yang Zhang (380,000) and Barry Hutter (357,00), both in the top ten for chip counts.

Ding Leads Final Eleven In $50k PLO Event

Biao Ding (11,000,000) managed to grab the top spot in Event #57: $50,000 High Roller Pot-Limit Omaha.
Earlier in the day, Stephen Chidwick (6,955,000) became the chip leader after he one-outered Alex Foxen. However, Chidwick ran into some bad luck of his own, finishing the day in fifth place and allowing Ding to end in first.
Phil Ivey was eliminated just before the bubble, but some big name players cashed, including Shaun Deeb (26th - $100,000), Alex Foxen ($105,000), and Erik Seidel (12th - $123,051).
Play will resume at midday, local time, with the blinds at 60,000 and 120,000.
The tournament is expected to play down to a winner today, with live coverage here on PokerNews.

Gus Hansen In Top Ten After Day 1 Of Nine-Game Mix

Event $58: $3,000 Nine Game Mix earned 409 entries for a prize pool of $1,132,521.
This puts $228,115 up top for whoever eventually takes the event down.
The nine-game mix is made up of the five classic H.O.R.S.E. games — limit hold'em, Omaha 8-or-better, razz, seven card stud, and seven card stud hi-lo — plus no limit hold’em, pot limit Omaha, limit 2-7 triple draw, and no limit 2-7 single draw. This is the same combination as the $50,000 Player's Championship.

With a requirement to excel (and get lucky) in so many variants, the 9-game mix events often attract the best players.
Sure enough, poker players like Gus Hansen and Yuri Dzivielevski appear in the top ten chip counts
Further down the 144-strong list of survivors, interested parties can find Erick Lindgren (204,000), David "ODB" Baker (161,500), Dario Sammartino (161,500), Chad Eveslage (145,000), Brian Rast (134,000), Phil Hellmuth (87,500), Huck Seed (63,500), Viktor Blom (55,500), and Mike Matusow (25,500) among many other great, good, and notorious players.
Those players will all return at 1:00 p.m. on June 22 to play another ten levels. PokerNews will have live updates once play gets underway.

What to Expect on Day 27 of the 2025 WSOP

Today (June 22), we will see at least one bracelet awarded. It will go to one of the eleven remaining players of the $50,000 Pot Limit Omaha High Roller, which is returning for one last push at 11:00 a.m.
Two events are on Day 2 today. The combined field of the $1,500 Millionaire Maker will be back. This will be Day 2 of a scheduled five-day event.
The other event on its Day 2 will be the $3,000 Nine-Game Mix, which will be back at 1:00 p.m. for another ten levels of play. The field is impressive, with several big names vying for the gold. This will be one to watch closely.
There will also be two new events starting today. The short-handed Event #60: $3,000 Limit Hold'em 6-Handed starts at 2:00 p.m. and, perhaps the most interesting event of the day is Event #59. This is the brand-new $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em - Battle of the Ages.
The Battle of the Ages has two Day 1 flights running today. The first is only open to players who are 50 or over, while the afternoon flight is only open to those under 50.
PokerNews will have coverage of all these events on both the news and live reporting areas of the site.
