2025 WSOP Day 20: Who Else? Kabrhel Leads $250,000 Super High Roller Field
Welcome back to PokerNews and our daily coverage of the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP). Another exciting weekend of WSOP action has wrapped up, with eight events returning on Monday.
Martin Kabrhel is once again the center of attention, leading the $250,000 Super High Roller after Day 1. Meanwhile, Viktor Blom is chasing another deep run in the $10K Big O Championship, and Jason Wheeler headlines the top stacks in the Monster Stack.
Also on Sunday, veterans were honored in the Salute to Warriors, while Jay Kerbel leads a record-breaking Mixed Omaha/Stud Hi-Lo field.

Kabrhel Leads $250,000 Super High Roller Day 1
It had to be him, didn't it? So far this summer Martin Kabrhel has been causing a ruckus at nearly every table he sat at. Now he's the big stack heading into Day 2 of Event #46: $250,000 Super High Roller.
Kabrhel finished third in this event back in 2023, but was subject of cheating allegations in the aftermath. At the time, Chance Kornuth said that Kabrhel should "100% be banned." Nevertheless, he now leads the 38 survivors from a field of 46 players after bagging nearly three starting stacks.
Others who bagged for Day 2 include Kristen Foxen, Sean Winter, Adrian Mateos, Stephen Chidwick, Dan Smith, and Brandon Steven, as well as Super High Roller newcomer Jesse Lonis, reigning champion Santhosh Suvarna and Daniel Negreanu, who is looking for another deep run fresh off his third final table appearance of the summer.
Late registration remains open for the first two levels of Day 2, with the field expected to grow further still.

Another Deep Run Beckons for Blom in Big O Championship
Viktor Blom already has three deep runs this summer, the best of which being a runner-up finish in the $10,000 Limit Hold'em Championship, and he's poised to make another in Event #44: $10,000 Big O Championship.
He stis third in chips behind Veerachai Vongxaiburana and former PPC champion Phil Hui on the hunt for his first WSOP bracelet.
The field of 402 was whittled down to just 26 on Day 2, with Dario Sammartino, Phil Hellmuth, Patrick Leonard and Dan Heimiller among those cashing. The survivors have all locked up $24,635 with the winner walking away with $784,353.

Wheeler Bags Top 10 Stack in Monster Stack
A total of 3,217 survivors from starting flights took their seats at the start of the day in Event #37: $1,500 MONSTER STACK and by the end, just 464 players bagged for Day 3.
The bubble burst today, with the final 1,488 players receiving a min-cash of $3,018 and the survivors are all looking at the $1,204,457 first-place prize that awaits the winner.
Leadin the survivors is Jessie Bryant. Bryant has just over $1,200,00 in live poker earnings and is hunting down his first WSOP bracelet. Other notable names that bagged up for Day 2 include Jason Wheeler, fresh off his sixth-place finish in the shootout, along with Gershon Distenfeld, Dylan Linde, and Andrew Moreno.

Veterans Among 625 Players Advancing in Salute to Warriors
Recreational and professional poker players came together on Sunday to raise money, with $40 of every buy-in in Event #45: $500 SALUTE to Warriors benefitting United Service Organizations (USO) and other charities dedicated to supporting veterans.
By the end of play, 625 players had advanced from a field of 3,937, with just 591 guaranteed a min-cash of $1,000.
Leading the way is Ofer Saha, with seven players bagging seven-figure stacks ahead of Day 2. Several military veterans also bagged, including Glenn Stout, who served in Germany during the first Gulf War, Vietnam War Special Forces veteran Joseph Reyes , and Marines veteran Earnest Holthusen.

Kerbel Leads Survivors in Mixed Omaha-Stud Hi-Lo
Another attendnace record has been smashed, with 575 entries in Event #47: $2,500 Mixed Omaha/Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better beating last year's record of 507.
229 players advanced to Day 2, with Jay Kerbel increasing his starting stack almost tenfold to 332,000. Kerbel, a mixed game specialist without a single recorded hold'em cash since the start of his career in 2008, will start Day 2 with over 40 big bets as he is chasing his fourth cash of the summer.
Other players in the top 10 at the end of the night include 25K Fantasy pick Jim Collopy, and his fellow bracelet winners Qiang Xu, Jason Daly, and Elie Nakache.

What's Coming Up on Monday at the WSOP?
It's shaping up to be one of the busiest days of the WSOP so far, with eight different events going on — but no winners to be crowned!
There's a bright an early start for the Seniors Championship at 10 a.m. with the first of two starting flights, as Event #49: $3,000 6-Handed No-Limit Hold’em and Event #50: $10,000 Razz Championship also get underway.
Day 2 in the Salute to Warriors should see play get down to around two tables bty the end of the night, with the $250,000 Super High Roller and $2,500 Mixed Omaha/Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better also seeing Day 2 take place.
The Monster Stack rumbles on, with Day 3 in that one starting at 11 a.m., although a winner won't be crowned until Wednesday. And lastly, there's the penultimate day in the Big O Championship that resumes with 26 players remaining.
