Every Monday night, Hellmuth’s Home Game presented by Poker Night in America (PNIA) and sponsored by BetRivers is once again airing on CBS Sports on Monday nights.

The nationally-televised show, which was filmed at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada, is unique in that there is no commentary. Instead, the show is carried by table talk from Phil Hellmuth alongside a cast of fellow pros and friends in an intimate, relaxed cash game setting.

PokerNews watched Episode 20 and compiled a recap of some of the biggest hands and interesting storylines.

In the second hand of the game, John Cerasani limped from early position with the A♦5♠, and Phil Hellmuth did the same from the cutoff holding the 2♠2♣. His son, Phillip Hellmuth III, came along from the small blind with the J♦10♦, and then Randy “3Coin” Sadler exercised his option from the big with a raise to $225 after looking down at the A♣Q♠.

The other three players called, and it was four-way action to a flop of 5♣7♦6♠. P3 checked, 3Coin continued for $250, and Cerasani raised to $750. Action folded back to 3Coin, and he called to see the 4♣ turn.

With four to a straight on the board, 3Coin checked, Cerasani bet $500, and the former check-raised the minimum to $1,000. Cerasani clicked it back to the tune of $1,500, and surprisingly, 3Coin moved all in for $3,875 total.

Cerasani folded the best hand, and 3Coin’s bluff got through.

Hellmuth & 3Coin Collide

On Hand #20 of the game, 3Coin limped from early position with the A♥5♦ and Kelly Lucas came along from the button with the Q♥9♠. Mike Matusow checked his option from the big blind after looking down at the 10♣5♠, and it was four-way action to the flop, which came down 5♥6♣A♦.

Two checks saw 3Coin bet $150 with his two pair, and Kelly folded. Both Hellmuth and Matusow called, and the former checked in the dark before the 8♥ hit the turn. Matusow checked his pair and 3Coin bet again, this time $500.

Hellmuth, who had turned a straight, woke up with a min-check raise to $1,000, and Matusow got out of the way. 3Coin min-raised it back to $1,500, and Hellmuth did the same to $2,000. 3Coin took his time before moving all in, and Hellmuth called off for $3,675 total.

They agreed to run it just once, and the 7♣ river missed 3Coin, which allowed Hellmuth to double by claiming the $8,050 pot.

Action Flop

P3 looked down at the J♠J♦ under the gun and raised to $200. 3Coin called next to act with the 6♥5♥, and Matusow came along from the big blind with the A♥7♥. The 5♠J♥2♥ flop had action written all over it as P3 flopped top set, Matusow the nut-flush draw, and 3Coin a pair with a worse flush draw.

Matusow checked, P3 continued for $600, and 3Coin called. Matusow sprang to life with a check-raise to $2,100, and P3 moved all in for $7,775. 3Coin moved all in, and Matusow called off for $8,825 total, which created a $26,100 pot.

The trio agreed to run it twice, and the 6♠ turn and 10♦ river on the first was clean for P3. It was the same on the second as the 2♦ turn and 6♦ river bricked, allowing P3 to scoop.

“Every big pot we’ve filmed he’s lost,” a proud Papa Hellmuth exclaimed. “He finally won a f***ing hand.”

Cerasani limped under the gun with the 5♦2♦, and Hellmuth did the same from the hijack with the 10♠8♠. P3 called with the A♦6♠ on the button before 3Coin made it $275 to go with the K♠Q♣ in the small blind. D. Schaad looked down at the J♦10♦ in the big blind and called, which inspired Cerasani to fold.

Hellmuth called, his son called, and it was four ways to the J♣Q♠8♥ flop. 3Coin bet $300, Schaad and Hellmuth called, and P3 folded before the 8♦ hit the turn.

3Coin checked his two pair, as did Schaad, and Hellmuth bet $700 with his trip eights. 3Coin called, Schaad folded, and the 8♣ completed the board on the river. 3Coin made a full house, but little did he know, Hellmuth had quads.

Sadler checked, Hellmuth bet $2,500, and Sadler snap-jammed all in. Hellmuth called off for $5,625 total and took down the $14,750 pot.

“When you’re the greatest, you make quads,” Hellmuth quipped.

P3 Sets Up 3Coin

In the last hand of the episode, P3 raised to $200 from the hijack with the J♠J♥, and 3Coin just called with the A♦K♥ in the cutoff. Cerasani came along from the small blind with the 5♦4♦, and Kelly did the same from the big with her 5♣3♥.

The J♣3♥K♦ flop saw both blinds check, and P3 continued for $350 with his set. 3Coin, who had flopped top pair, made it $1,200 to go, and both Cerasani and Kelly folded. P3 then reraised to $3,600 and snap-called after 3Coin jammed for $6,750 total.

3Coin announced he only wanted to run it one time, and the K♣ turn kept him drawing live. Unfortunately for him, the 2♠ river was a brick, and 3Coin was felted while P3 became the game’s big winner.
