Alan Keating 2026 WSOP

Alan Keating signed up for his first 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP) event on Saturday, but he apparently won too much money this week on The Lodge livestream to care enough to show up and play.

The cash game specialist doesn't play many tournaments, although he does appear in a couple WSOP events each year. He paid $25,000 to enter Day 1b of Event #7: $25,000 Heads-Up No-Limit Hold'em Championship, and didn't even compete.

Where Was Keating?

Keating, scheduled to face Piotr Krupa in the first round of the 128-player heads-up tournament, didn't arrive on time for his match. His chips were being blinded out before he called and informed the tournament operators that he was running late and was conceding the match.

That means Krupa moves on to the second round to face the winner of the Adrian Mateos versus Nikita Kuznetsov match. Keating, who won over $1 million on a livestream at The Lodge Card Club in Texas earlier this week, is out the $25,000 he paid to enter the WSOP event.

Keating will be competing in the Hustler Casino Live Million Dollar Game at the WSOP on June 12, so he can win back the Heads-Up Championship buy-in in one hand.

The $25k bracelet event is currently being live reported right here at PokerNews. A livestream starting with the second round matchups will take place Saturday evening on YouTube.
