Ooops He Did it Again

Matthew "Britney Spears" Pearson, who said to us earlier that he never makes it past day one in these events, has once again busted on day one. He opened to 2,400 out of the small blind and Nicholas Rene in the big blind shoved for for over 30,000, which covered Pearson's 22,000.

Matthew Pearson snap-called and found himself behind with the {a-?}{9-?} against his opponents {a-Spades}{q-Spades}.

The board rolled out {8-?}{10-Spades}{k-Spades}{7-?}{8-Spades} and Pearson has busted from the 2010 Aussie Millions Main Event.

We're not sure if Pearson is playing the teams event tomorrow, but if he does he'll surely be listening to "Stronger than Yesterday."

Kelly Kim Eliminated

Kelly Kim has joined the ranks of the stackless, after running {A-Clubs}{j-Spades} into the {A-Diamonds}{q-Spades} of Billy Seri.

The {k-Spades}{3-Clubs}{10-Hearts} flop missed both players. The {j-Hearts} hit the turn making some of the players at the table think that Kim had hit a card to stay alive, he hadn't. The turn had made Seri a straight.

The river bricked the {2-Spades}.

Seri has 50,000.

Sukkar Punched

Billy Sukkar
Billy Sukkar
We walked over to Billy Sukkar's table, just as he'd pushed all in for his last 12,500 or so on an {8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{3-Spades} board, against two opponents.

One of them made the call and tabled {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for the nut full house. Sukkar mucked his hand and quietly exited the studio, saying, "Well done, boys. See ya's later."

Hit Me Baby One More Time

Matthew Pearson, who earlier said he wouldn't last past midnight has done just that. It was suggested at one point from someone that he should listen to some Britney Spears. When we got back to the table, he was at 22,000 when he was previously at 13,000 and he said "It was the Britney Spears!"

Rodrigues Rostered Off

Manny Rodrigues is no more. Main event wise anyway.

On a flop of {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} Rodrigues made it 3,000 and his opponent shipped it in over the top, setting Rodrigues all in for about 22,000 more.

Rodrigues had flopped the world (draw-wise) with his {A-Hearts}{j-Hearts} and so made the call. Unfortunately he missed it all with the {7-?} and {2-?} not creating a flush, straight or even pair to overtake his opponent's {k-?}{9-?}.

Game over Mr Rodrigues.

How "The G" Got His G's

The kick stand is still down.
The kick stand is still down.
Tony G is now up to 94,000. We were re-told the story by David Campbell, who was the player who gave "G" a large chunk of chips.

Campbell raised from mid-position, and Tony G reraised out of the big blind. The flop came down {7-?}{7-?}{6-?} and G checked to Campbell who bet 2,000. Tony G than raised it up to 7,000, Campbell moved all in and G called. Tony G was in bad shape with pocket aces against the flop trips of Campbell, who had {k-?}{7-?}.

Tony G started packing up his gear and was readying himself for a ride on his PartyPoker bike. However, an ace miraculously fell on the turn giving Tony G a winning full house and putting the bike ride on hold for the time being.
