Giuliano Growing

Jason Giuliano has jumped back into the chips after flushing an opponent on the river.

The last of the chips went in on the river with the board reading {8-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}. Giuliano had {7-Clubs}{3-Clubs}, while his opponent had {j-Spades}{9-Spades} for a turned straight.

Giuliano is back to 50,000.

Just, Jessica

Move over, fellas; Jessica Dawley has breached the top five.

Note: For full effect, listen to this song while reading the following update:

On a board showing {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{3-Clubs}, Dean Nyberg checked to Dawley who fired a 2,250 bet. Nyberg then check-raised to 7,600 and Dawley responded with a reraise of her own, kicking it up to 13,850.

Holding {5-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, Nyberg boldly moved all in for 15,700 more and Dawley made an even bolder call, looking Nyberg up with {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}.

The risk paid off as the turn and river blanked out {8-Spades}, {K-Spades} and Dawley's nines held up to earn her the pot.

After the hand, we counted Dawley at 124,000 in chips.

Edmonds Succumbs

UTG +1 limped, Brendan Edmonds made it 2,200, and UTG +1 made the call. The flop dropped {9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and UTG +1 led out for 3,600. Edmonds than popped the action up to 9,500, and the UTG +1 player moved all in. Edmonds went into the tank before finally folded. He is now on 33,000.

Other stacks we just caught up with were Mark Vos, who wanted everyone to know he is still on the "start stack," and Rayan Nathan who has Patonked his was up to 87,000.

Gruesome Time to Run into Aces

Philipp Gruissem is now down to 18,400 in chips after running into an opponent's pocket aces.

Gruissem's opponent opened with a standard raise from under-the-gun and when the action reached Gruissem in the big blind, he moved all in, in an apparent attempt to push his opponent off his hand. Not so much. Gruissem's opponent made the call with {A-Spades}{A-Hearts} and Gruissem tabled {K-Spades}{J-Clubs}.

The board then ran out {4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and the aces held, knocking Gruissem down below the 20,000 starting stack.

Jump, Jive and Wail

Jai Kemp is up to 26,400 in chips after a recent confrontation with Peter Rho.

Action folded around to Rho in the small blind who opened with a 1,700 raise. Kemp made the call from the small blind and the two saw a {5-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop.

Rho then fired a 2,500 continuation bet and Kemp made the call, sending the action to the turn -- {5-Hearts}.

Rho fired once more, this time making it 5,500 to play and Kemp responded by moving all in over the top -- a bet worth 12,400. Rho tanked for a solid three minutes before eventually tossing his hand into the muck, surrendering the pot to Kemp.

Rho was left with 14,000 in chips after the hand.

Glen Cymbaluk Grinding Away

Glen Cymbaluk was fortunate a little earlier to be on the Aces end of Aces v Kings v Queens.

Preflop, Cymbaluk opened to 1,200 with Billy Seri raising to 3,200. Another player shoved all in for 20,000 with Cymbaluk re-shoving for around 50,000. After tanking Seri made the fold of {Q-?}{Q-?}, and the other two players showed down their cards.

Cymbaluk turned a set and that boosted to him over 75,000. He has steadily grinded that up to 120,500 where he currently sits.

Hach'ing It Out

Tony Hachem
Tony Hachem
Tony "Not Joe" Hachem has just been eliminated from the Aussie Millions main event.

Dealt pocket jacks, Hachem opened with a raise to 1,700. His nemesis and eventual executioner then kicked it up to 4,000, sending Hachem into the tank.

A solid three or four minutes passed before Hachem spoke up:

"I can't just call here. I would have to go all in. It's my tournament life here."

Hachem followed through and moved all in and his opponent quickly called with pocket queens. The board then ran out {A-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and with no miracle save from the deck, Hachem was eliminated.
