The 2017 EPT Prague champion Kalidou Sow moved all in for 115,000 from early position and [Removed:551] put him at risk in middle position.
Kalidou Sow: 7♠7♥
[Removed:551]: A♦K♣
Sow was racing for his tournament life but quickly fell behind on the J♥K♠3♣ flop as [Removed:552] hit top pair. The rest of the board ran out 5♣4♥ and Sow was eliminated.
Heads-up on the turn with the board showing J♦8♣9♦A♦, Mario Colavita bet 58,000 in the cutoff before Timo Kamphues raised to 119,000 under the gun. Colavita then reraised to 170,000, Kamphues moved all in for 358,000, and Colavita snap-called.
Kamphues showed K♦Q♣ for straight and flush draws, while Colavita turned over A♥A♣ for top set. The 4♦ river gave Kamphues a flush and Colavita sent over most of his stack.
At the same table, Ramon Colillas has climbed up past 1,000,000.
Juan Carlos Vecino opened to 16,000 in the hijack and Ange Besnainou three-bet jammed for 141,000 in the small blind. Vecino called with a bigger stack.
Ange Besnainou: A♠J♠
Juan Carlos Vecino: 9♠9♦
The board ran out 7♣5♥6♦4♦8♠, putting a straight on the board but giving Vecino the nine-high straight to send Besnainou to the rail.
Alejandro Romero raised to 16,000 in early position, Mihai Niste moved all in for 119,000 in the small blind, and Romero called.
Mihai Niste: A♥Q♥
Alejandro Romero: A♣K♦
Niste found himself dominated and at risk, and the 3♠J♠4♣7♦K♥ board provided no help as Romero ended up with a pair of kings to send Niste to the rail.
At another table, Jacob Amsellem was all in for around 100,000 from middle position and up against Sam Lam in the big blind.
Jacob Amsellem: A♠A♥
Sam Lam: 4♣4♦
Amsellem had picked up aces and was a favorite to double up, but the board brought 8♠6♣5♠3♥7♥ to give Lam a straight on the river as the start-of-day chip leader was eliminated.
Lars Tungel opened to 12,000 in the cutoff and Brock Wilson called on the button.
Tungel continued for 14,000 on the flop of 8♠8♦6♣ and Wilson continued. Tungel then bet 34,000 on the 9♦ turn and Wilson again called.
Tungel checked on the A♦ river and Wilson slid out an over-bet of 180,000. Tungel snap-called. Wilson could only show Q♣10♣ for a missed draight draw as Tungel rolled over A♥3♦ to win the pot with a rivered pair of aces.
A raising war took place with Spencer Champlin opening in middle position and Kelvin Kerber three-betting to 50,000 in the cutoff.
Champlin clicked it back with a four-bet to 110,000 and Kerber responded by five-betting to 190,000 after using a time bank. Champlin used a time bank of his own before six-bet jamming for around 480,000. Kerber quickly called with a bigger stack.
Spencer Champlin: K♥J♥
Kelvin Kerber: K♠K♣
Kerber was far in front with pocket kings but the flop landed 9♥8♥3♣ to give Champlin a flush draw. Luckily for Kerber, the board finished out 6♠8♠ to keep his kings ahead as Champlin hit the rail in one of the biggest pots of the day.
All of Fulvio Preziosi's stack of 120,000 was in the middle preflop, with Julien Sitbon trying to send him the rail before the dinner break.
Fulvio Preziosi: A♣K♥
Julien Sitbon: Q♣Q♦
Preziosi needed to connect with the board in some way to keep his seat in the Main Event.
A flop of 3♣8♦4♦ came down, keeping the ladies of Sitbon out in front. A 7♦ turn meant only an ace or king on the river would save Preziosi. The 8♥ completed the board, and the pot went over to Sitbon, while Preziosi vacated the tournament area.
From the cutoff, Konstantyn Holskyi made it around 15,000 to go and was three-bet to 60,000 by Raoul Kanme out of the small blind. Once the big blind folded, Holskyi did some inventory of his stack, then four-bet to 120,000. Kanme five-bet ripped it, covering Holskyi, and Holskyi called for his 323,000 total.
Konstantyn Holskyi: A♠A♦
Raoul Kanme: J♥J♣
Holskyi had the preflop nuts and just needed to dodge a jack to double up to over half a million.
The dealer produced a clean runout of 7♥9♣7♦3♥Q♠ for Holskyi's bullets, and he won the pot. Holskyi was up to 650,000, while Kanme was left with crumbs.
Jacob Amsellem raised to 13,000 in the cutoff, Silius Moll three-bet to 50,000 in the big blind, and Amsellem called.
Both players checked the 10♦8♠2♣ flop. Moll then bet 70,000 on the 3♠ turn and Amsellem used a time bank before calling.
The river was the K♥ and Moll moved all in, having Amsellem's remaining 180,000 covered. Amsellem burned through two more time banks and his countdown nearly reached zero once again before he finally tossed his cards into the muck.
"Do you do coaching for Tritons? I also want to win three out of four," Martin Nielsen asked Tom-Aksel Bedell.
"I'm too old for that," Bedell replied.
Chin Wei Lim then opened to 10,000 in early position and Lauri Saaskilahti three-bet to 30,000 in middle position. Bedell called in the small blind, while Lim got out of the way.
Saaskilahti bet another 20,000 on the 6♠5♦5♣ flop, Bedell moved all in for 54,000, and Saaskilahti called.
Tom-Aksel Bedell: A♠8♠
Lauri Saaskilahti: A♣Q♣
Both players had ace-high, but Saaskilahti was ahead with his queen-kicker. The board ran out 9♣A♥ and Saaskilahti's queen continued to play to send Bedell to the rail.
Saaskilahti moved up close to 1,000,000 with that pot, but he's still not the chip leader at this table as Nielsen has climbed up to around 1,200,000.
