The World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP), PokerStars’ flagship online series, is officially locked in for its 24th edition, running from September 7 to October 1, 2025.
Before the action kicks off, PokerStars is giving players the chance to sharpen their skills and win their way in through a newly enhanced WCOOP Boot Camp, offering $9 million in guarantees, a packed tournament schedule, and expert coaching.
Running August 3–18, the WCOOP Boot Camp is designed to give players of all levels the opportunity to prepare for the main series.
With 47 players remaining, the TV table was again randomly chosen to break.
Tournament officials decided to send the players on a 20-minute break now with a few minutes remaining in the level while a new feature table is set up.
Level 22 Highlights
Felix Kurmayr jammed for 325,000 from the small blind and was called by Hiroki Karatsu in the big blind.
Felix Kurmayr: A♣J♠
Hiroki Karatsu: A♦K♠
Kurmayr was lucky enough to hit a jack on Q♣2♣8♦J♥3♣ to double up.
Lauri Saaskilahti raised to 40,000 from the hijack with J♥9♥ and Tobias Leknes called in the cutoff with K♥Q♦. Tomasz Brzezinski flicked in the call from the button with 6♠6♥, and John Woods used some extra time before he called from the big blind with Q♠J♣.
The quartet saw the flop of 2♥Q♣7♦ hit the felt and when it got to Leknes, he bet 45,000. Brzezinski folded his pocket sixes, Woods called, and Saaskilahti folded.
The 6♣ came on the turn, which would have given Brzezinski a set, and Woods checked it over with 250,000 behind. Leknes then bet 100,000, Woods shoved, and Leknes called.
Woods needed a jack on the river to survive, but the 5♣ wasn't it, meaning he was out.
Ramon Colillas raised to 40,000 in the middle position before Oskar Jonsson three-bet to 130,000 in the hijack. Colillas called and they saw a flop of Q♣Q♦6♠.
Jonsson then bet 55,000 and Colillas came back with a raise to 150,000. Jonsson used up a time bank before moving all in for 480,000, and Colillas snap-called.
Oskar Jonsson: A♠K♦
Ramon Colillas: K♠Q♠
Colillas had flopped trips and left Jonsson drawing only to running cards. Jonsson was drawing dead after the 5♠ turn, while the river was the 10♦ to earn Colillas the bustout.
Artus Gimenez opened from under the gun and Lars Tungel defended in the big blind.
Tungel checked on the flop of Q♣2♦5♦ and Gimenez continued for 30,000. Tungel called. Both players then checked on the Q♥ turn.
The J♠ river completed the board and Tungel led out for 80,000, bringing a quick call from Gimenez. Tungel showed K♠J♦ for a rivered pair of jacks and it was good to win the pot.
Ramon Colillas in the cutoff found himself at risk for 335,000 against Felix Kurmayr in early position.
Ramon Colillas: A♠J♦
Felix Kurmayr: A♦K♥
After a flop of 10♦5♥10♠, Colillas was two cards away from elimination. But he luckily hit the J♣ turn to take the lead, and after the 2♥ river, he doubled up.
Michael Uguccioni made it 40,000 to go from early position with K♥Q♦ and Yohan Rascar three-bet A♣10♥ from the button to 120,000. When it got back to Uguccioni, he called.
Rascar paired his ten on the 7♣10♠7♦ flop and when the action checked to him, he fired 150,000. That was enough to earn the pot as Uguccioni folded.
In the next hand, Rascar opened to 40,000 from the cutoff and Lauri Saaskilahti three-bet to 120,000 from the button with A♦K♥. Once it was back on Rascar, he called.
The flop came 10♥5♥7♥ and both checked to the 8♥ turn, which gave Saaskilahti a flush. Rascar checked, Saaskilahti bet 150,000, and Rascar quickly folded.
Joris Ruijs was all in against Artus Gimenez on the other side of the table.
Joris Ruijs: A♣J♣
Artus Gimenez: A♠Q♠
The flop of Q♣9♣Q♥ hit both players, but the A♦ turn had Ruijs drawing to a chop as Gimenez made a full house before the teasing J♥ river confirmed Ruijs elimination in 50th place.
