Queens Are Good for Becker

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Following a raise to 80,000, Daniel Becker three-bet to 300,000 out of the small blind. Anton Beno in the big blind had slightly more than that behind and moved all-in to force out the initial raiser and Becker called.

Anton Beno: AK All in
Daniel Becker: QQ

The 543 flop gave Beno even more outs with the wheel draw and nut flush draw, but he bricked the 9 turn and J river.

"Queens are good for you man," Joshua Beckenstein said and Becker replied "I am telling you".

The table chat after revealed that Becker was ready to play eleven hours today despite the fact his flight was booked tomorrow, which he may now have to change after all.

Shaw Eliminated by Holtzman

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Carl Shaw
Carl Shaw

Guy Holtzman raised to 60,000 and earned one caller in Yulian Bogdanov from the very next seat. Carl Shaw then jammed his last 445,000 from the cutoff and all active players behind folded. Holtzman announced all-in himself and first cut out the 445,000 of Shaw, which left approximately another 305,000 behind.

Bogdanov mulled it over for a few seconds and folded.

Carl Shaw: QJ All in
Guy Holtzman: AQ

The K65 flop changed nothing since neither player had a spade in their hand. Shaw picked up a gutshot with the 9 turn but the 2 river sealed his fate.

Gardes Sank by Montes

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Josselin Gardes
Josselin Gardes

Santiago Montes raised to 65,000 from early position and Josselin Gardes defended from the big blind.

The flop came 924 and after Gardes checked, Montes bet 50,000. Gardes then shoved for 210,000, and Montes quickly called.

Josselin Gardes: 103 All in
Santiago Montes: AK

Gardes was drawing slim, and even slimmer when the A landed on the turn. Only a five on the river could keep Gardes alive, but the 6 wasn't what he needed, which ended his Main Event run.

Aaron Barone
Aaron Barone

Aaron Barone was put to a tough decision on a board of 885210 in a heads-up pot against Maksim Pisarenko.

With around 500,000 in the middle, Barone checked from the big blind and Pisarenko put out a stack of purple 100,000 chips to put Barone all in for his remaining 725,000. Barone gave it some thought and called.

Pisarenko showed J8 for trips, which was good to beat the K5 of Barone.

Barone is wearing a t-shirt highlighting more than $8,000 in Hendon Mob earnings, but he's since increased that to $14,065 this summer. With his $45,000 cash, the online pro will be up to $59,065.
