D'Ursel D'One for the Day

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Thomas Boivin raised to 50,000 in early position. Igor D'Ursel defended in the big blind, after which he virtually moved all in for 155,000 on the 457 flop. Boivin put in the rest of the chips, and D'Ursel called off.

Igor D'Ursel: K7 All in
Thomas Boivin: 1010

The 5 turn brought a straight draw on the board, but the A river changed nothing, eliminating D'Ursel from the feature table.

Chen Caught Making a Big Move Against Chong

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Yuchen Chen
Yuchen Chen

Three players limped in as action went on Bryan Chen in the small blind. He raised to 130,000 and Kang Chong reraised to 300,000 under the gun. The table folded back around to Chen who moved all in for 770,000, and Chong called.

Bryan Chen: KJ All in
Kang Chong: AQ

The K in the window was a welcome sight for Chen, but it was followed by A5 as Chong hit top pair. The A turn improved Chong to trips, and Chen was already drawing dead by the 8 river and on his way to the exit.

"Gamble, gamble," Chong said as he raked in the pot.

Morris Bows Out on a Table Full of Big Stacks

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Alberto Destrade opened to 55,000 in middle position and Meerwais Hussaini three-bet to 140,000 in the hijack. Stephanie Morris flat-called on the button and Destrade came along as well.

The flop came Q86 and Hussaini continued with a bet of 160,000. Morris raised to 400,000 which got Destrade to fold but Hussaini ripped all in for 1,075,000. Morris had a decision to make for the extra 460,000 in front of her and she gave it some thought for nearly three minutes before calling.

Stephanie Morris: KKAll in
Meerwais Hussaini: QQ

"I thought that's what you had," Morris said realizing she was down to just two outs. The 3 on the turn and the J on the river was not going to save her as Morris headed to collect her payout.

Cheong Eliminated by Holtzman

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Joseph Cheong
Joseph Cheong

The camera crew rushed by when a short-stacked Joseph Cheong pushed all in from the cutoff for his last 180,000 and was called by Guy Holtzman in the big blind.

Joseph Cheong: 54 All in
Guy Holtzman: QJ

The JJ5 flop left Cheong needing a miracle to survive as he needed running fives for quads. He had already grabbed up his belongings and was gone by the time the turn showed 9 to make the 4 river a formality. Holtzman had extended his fist for a bump but was left hanging as Cheong had already reached the ropes of the tournament area on his way out.

Cord Garcia was all in against the bigger-stacked Sviatoslav Belov.

Cord Garcia: JJ All in
Sviatoslav Belov: QQ

Belov had his opponent pipped and the flop of 764 didn't change anything. However, the J gave Garcia a short-lived lead before the A river gave Belov the winner with a flush.

"I win? Oh, I win," reacted Belov, who was filming the action. "GG."

Gonia Gone

David Gonia
David Gonia

David Gonia was all-in preflop for all his 385,000 chips with Andreas Christoforou making the call to try and send him home.

David Gonia: AK All in
Andreas Christoforou: JJ

Christoforou had only a few big blinds more than Gonia, so this flip was incredibly significant for both players' Main Event. A low clean runout of 92572 was revealed by the dealer, meaning Christoforou's jacks held up, and Gonia was out.

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Miltiadis Kyriakides
Miltiadis Kyriakides

Kyle Taddei and Miltiadis Kyriakides got the chips in preflop with two premium hands in a classic race, with Taddei barely covering Kyriakides, who was at risk for 985,000.

Miltiadis Kyriakides: AKAll in
Kyle Taddei: QQ

Kyriakides needed to improve to stay alive, and improve he did when the flop came K64 to jump into the lead.

The 10 turn was safe for Kyriakides, but the river was much crueler as it came the Q on the river, which elicited a reaction from both players as Kyriakides had an outburst of disappointment.
