Ruben Pahino moved all in from the small blind for 28,000 and was instantly called by Steven Markowitz in the big blind.

A perilous situation became almost impossible to survive, as the dealer spread a 5♣6♥A♣ flop.
The Q♥ turn sealed Pahino's fate, and he was up and out of his seat before the 10♠ had even completed the board.
Alessandro Bertoncini got all in preflop with Joseph Cheong and Diego Dos Santos both making the call in an attempt to win his chips.
Cheong and Dos Santos checked the A♠2♠5♣8♦9♣ board all the way down to the river before tabling their hands.
Cheong tabled J♦J♠ for a pair of jacks, but it was second best to Dos Santos' A♣10♠ for top pair. Bertoncini revealed the worst of the bunch with K♣Q♠ for king-high, and headed to the rail while Dos Santos dragged in the pot.

As relayed by Sonia-Veronika Shashikhina, there was a massive clash just before the end of the first level at her table. The action started with a raise to 5,500 by Arnaud Mattern, and Delmiro Toledo three-bet to 20,000. Matthew Radcliffe then four-bet to 70,000, and Mattern called. Toledo then reraised to 150,000 for Radcliffe to jam for 153,000.
Once Mattern asked for an exact count, Radcliffe already vaulted out of his chair before Mattern then clicked it back to 300,000.
Toledo opted to fold and said he let go of pocket kings to leave Radcliffe in despair, as he held the other kings.

The board ran out 9♠6♥2♣7♠J♦, and Radcliffe was drawing dead on the turn, bowing out towards the end of the first level.
Antonio Ruelas got his 72,500 remaining chips in on the button against Masato Yokosawa in the hijack and was at risk.

Ruelas looked poised to double up, but Yokosawa found a queen on the 3♦9♦4♣Q♥ turn to take a massive lead. The 8♦ river did not bring a king, sending Ruelas to an expletive-filled exit.
One hand later, Michael Conoran open-raised in early position, and Jesse Lonis defended his big blind. After the 2♠2♥9♥ flop checked through, Lonis barreled 11,000 on the 2♦ turn.
Conoron called, and did so too when Lonis piled in 41,500 on the 3♥ river. Lonis tabled Q♠Q♦ for a slow-played pair of queens, but Conoron had better as he tabled A♠A♣ for pocket aces.
After the hand, Johan Guilbert sat down at the table, having been moved from a broken table.
"Ah, it's already the final table, I see," the jovial Frenchman said before he and Yokosawa reminisced about some previous encounters.
In a preflop three-bet pot to the 10♦4♣2♠ flop, Terrance Reid checked and then called a bet worth 18,000 by Hai Chen. Reid checked again on the A♣ turn, after which Chen wasted very little time before he moved all in for slightly more than 100,000. The snap-fold by Reid followed, and he said, "Nice hand," right away.
Two tables over, word on the street is that Joseph Cheong won an "absolutely ridiculous hand in three-way action with a dry side pot" to significantly increase his stack.
Casey Sandretto opened to 5,500 from middle position, and Skyler Dennis made the call from the cutoff. Big blind Rebecca Lakepool then moved all in for her 24,500. Sandretto called, Dennis shoved, and Sandretto let his cards go.

Lakepool was looking for a triple, and the 4♦K♦7♠J♦J♠ had her doing a double-take, but unfortunately she couldn't salvage a chop, and she headed for the exit.
Patrick Bell raised from the button and Lang Yi jammed for around 25,000 from the big blind. Bell made the call to put Yi at risk.

Bell's ace-high was in front, although Yi at least had two live cards working for her.
Bell paired his jack on the 5♥10♦J♥ flop, while Yi picked up a gutshot straight draw.
The 8♠ turn and 5♦ river offered no help to Yi, and she became another casualty of the 2026 WSOP Main Event.
Stanton Tentnowski opened to 5,000 from middle position before Delmiro Toledo three-bet to 15,000 in the hijack, and Tentnowski called.
On the J♠10♦7♦ flop, Tentnowski checked to Toledo, who fired out a chunky bet of 30,000. Tentnowski responded with a check-jam for his remaining 102,500 stack, causing immediate discomfort for Toledo. He confirmed the count, and about a minute passed before he shrugged and flicked in a chip to call.

Both had flopped top pair, but Toledo held the better kicker as the table was surprised to see the hand that Toledo was tanking with. However, Tentnowski also flopped a flush draw with his top pair. Unfortunately for him, the 5♣K♥ runout offered no additional help, and he took his leave from the tournament.
