Blind Versus Blind McKellar Versus Yott

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Pierce McKellar limped in from the small blind, and Christopher Yott checked his option in the big blind. The flop showed JA10, and both players checked.

On the turn A, McKellar bet out 120,000, and Yott called.

On the river 10, McKellar checked, and Yott took a stab and bet out 325,000. McKellar called.

Yott showed 98 for a missed straight, and McKellar showed Q2 for two pair with a queen kicker.

Funke River Bet

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Jason Funke
Jason Funke

Jason Funke opened to 280,000 from early position. Robert Gill called from the small blind.

Both players knuckled the K92 flop to bring the 9 turn.

Gill bet 200,000 and was called by Funke.

Gill slowed down with a check on the J river before Funke put out a bet of 1,125,000, leaving himself very few chips behind. Gill gave it a brief consideration before he folded to award the pot to Funke.

No Sweat for Czech

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Action was picked up on the turn of a board reading KA27. The pot had been three-bet preflop, and had about 2,500,000 in there when Mariusz Czech jammed from the big blind for slightly more than pot.

This sent his opponent Eric Salazar, who had raised from early position, deep into the tank, as he got a count and compared it to his own stack. Eventually, he stuck in the call, and saw the bad news.

Mariusz Czech: AK All in
Eric Salazar: A10

Salazar was drawing stone dead, leaving the 2 river inconsequential as Czech raked in a massive one.

Ripnick Shows Winner

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

There was already approximately 1,000,000 in the pot on a board that read 4QK3 when this hand was picked up. John Ripnick checked it over from middle position to Joan Crespi in the hijack, who bet 850,000. Ripnick made the call.

Both players checked the 10 river. Ripnick showed K8 for a pair of kings, which was good as Crespi mucked his hand in response to yield the pot to Ripnick.

Tahar Sends Sgrilletti Packing

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Martin Sgrilletti shoved for 1,118,000 from under the gun and was called by Said Tahar in the big blind to be at risk.

Martin Sgrilletti: AQAll in
Said Tahar: A10

Sgrilletti had Tahar dominated, but not after the flop when the dealer fanned out 10AK to give Tahar two pair. Sgrilletti was far from out of it, however, as he was still drawing live to a straight and a better two pair.

The 8 altered nothing between them, and the 9 river completed the board as Sgrilletti was eliminated.

Ripnick Takes Out Helmig

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

John Ripnick raised to 200,000 from under the gun, and Jana Helmig shoved in her stack for 280,000 from the cutoff. Ripnick wasted no time calling.

Jana Helmig: A8 All in
John Ripnick: AQ

The board was 6Q93J, and although the table was rooting for a flush for a chopped pot to keep Helmig in the mix, no flush arrived, and Ripnick won with his pair of queens.

Entire Table Calling For a Chop

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Javier Zarco raised from under the gun to 100,000, and Seyed Mortazavilahijani three-bet all in for 700,000 from late position. It folded around to Zarco, who called,

Seyed Mortazavilahijani: 66 All in
Javier Zarco: AK

The board came out monotone, and after the flop, the table was chanting, "Chop, chop, chop," and sure enough, all hearts arrived for the chop on the board of 786A10, and Mortazavilahijani was saved.

Tepeh Can't Get it Through

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Action was picked up on a flop of 528 with 1,200,000 in the middle, and three bettor Eugene Zhou had placed in a continuation bet of 400,000. Middle position raiser Tjan Tepeh put in the call, and the two went off to an A turn.

Here, Zhou slowed down with a check, and Tepeh checked back, leading both players to the K river.

Zhou bet out again, for 450,000. Tepeh then announced "all in," which put Zhou into the blender. He asked for a count, and the bet totalled 2,790,000. A wrong call would've left him incredibly short, and he pondered the decision for a good few minutes. He finally put in the call, and Tepeh showed 66 for an airball. Zhou's top two with AK was enough to scoop a massive pot.
