Dudley Good at Showdown

Level 4 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Dash Dudley limped in from middle position, and Richard Gryko did the same in the cutoff. Lautaro Guerra then raised to 5,500, which both limpers called.

When Dudley checked on the 473 flop, Gryko bet 7,000, which both Guerra and Dudley called.

The action checked through on the A turn, and the 10 river completed the board.

Dudley checked for a third time, and Gryko bet 30,000. Guerra quickly folded, but Dudley called.

Gryko tabled AQ64 for two pair, which was no good versus Dudley's 101033, which was good for bottom set.

Zhang Has a Laugh

Level 4 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

With roughly 40,000 in the pot and a 3JQ flop on the felt, Chuan Hao Zhang checked from the hijack. Matthew Costanzo and Nino Pansier checked behind from the cutoff and button.

The action checked through once again on the 4 turn, and the 6 river completed the board.

Zhang checked for a third time, and Costanzo bet 20,000. Pansier quickly folded, but Zhang flipped over the 5 in his hand, and then looked like he was considering aggressive action with the straight flush blocker.

Another player questioned if he was allowed to show a card, but Zhang quickly mucked his cards while in fits of laughter, as he was only messing around, seeing if he would get a reaction from someone.

Level 4 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The pot stood at around 10,000, and Yankov had just bet 5,500. Weis called, and the players saw the 6 turn. Yankov asked for 18,500, and Weis took around 30 seconds before making the call.

A 4 completed the board, and Yankov pushed out 50,000. Weis considered his options before calling. Yankov tabled his KK108 for a set of kings, which he had picked up on the flop. Weis mucked his hand but still sat with plenty of chips despite having to pay off Yankov.

Phil Ivey

Poker G.O.A.T. Phil Ivey's deepest run of the 2026 World Series of Poker came to an end in the most expensive tournament on the schedule.

The 11-time bracelet winner was eliminated in eighth place in the $250,000 Super High Roller for $553,270 after running pocket jacks into the pocket queens of Bryn Kenney at the official final table.

While the result falls short of bracelet number 12, it still represents Ivey's best finish of the summer and his first final-table appearance of the series.

The tournament attracted 56 entries and generated a $13,720,000 prize pool, with a first-place prize of $4,334,411 awaiting the eventual champion.
