Phil Hellmuth to Host Hollywood Cares Celebrity Poker Invitational

Phil Hellmuth

If you follow him on Twitter, you know Phil Hellmuth is prone to name drop and post pictures of himself with celebrities. He recently spilled the beans on several NBA players to TMZ Sports, and within the last week has posted pics with the likes of reigning Big Brother winner Derrick Levasseur; Pictionary inventor Rob Angel; and Playboy centerfold Ashley Kirk, just to name a few.

On Thursday, Feb. 19, the 13-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner will put his celeb connections to good use by hosting the Hollywood Cares Celebrity Poker Invitational.

"I'm really excited to host a pre-Oscars party, where I think we can raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for Wounded Warrior Project and One Heart Source," Hellmuth told PokerNews. "Movie stars, high-stakes poker, athletes, and the Oscars. What's not to love?"

Hellmuth will host the event alongside Chris Harrison, who most will know as the host for the hit ABC reality shows The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. In addition, the event will feature two cohosts in Sons of Anarchy's Kim Coates and Dean Norris, who rose to fame as Hank in what many consider the greatest TV show of all time, Breaking Bad.

The event, which will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project and One Heart Source, will take place in Beverly Hills, California and will offer prizes and raffle items including a WSOP Main Event seat, VIP Experiences, Ritmo Watches and much more.

The tournament, which will offer rebuys and add-ons, features three buy-in levels: $2,500 High Roller Stack Buy-In (15,000 in tournament chips); $1,000 Big Stack Buy-In (5,000 in tournament chips); and $500 Small Stack Buy-In (2,000 in tournament chips). Additionally, non-players are welcome to attend the event for a $100 VIP Individual Pass, which includes access to the VIP Lounge and the open bar.

Here's a look at the schedule of events:
