The SCOOP-33-H: $5,200 NLHE High Roller Club SE at PokerStars kicked off yesterday with 257 entrants generating a $1,285,000 prize pool to smash the $1 million guarantee.

After more than nine hours of play on Day 1, the field was trimmed down to just eight hopefuls ready to battle it out for the $254,256 top prize.

The final table will begin at 7:05 p.m. CEST (1:05 p.m. EDT) at Level 26 with blinds at 35,000/70,000/8,750a and increase every 30 minutes until a winner is crowned.

Joni "bustoville" Jouhkimainen Leads the Final Table

Joni "bustoville" Jouhkimainen is easily the final table captain to kick the action off after parlaying his opening stack of 100,000 in chips into a huge 89 big blind stack of 5,932,421 in chips.

Meanwhile, Pablo "pabritz" Brito also bagged a huge 70 big blind stack of 4,910,420 in chips with Jon "luckyfish89" Clark (3,654,382), Christoph "26071985" Vogelsang, and "a_new_hope13" all bringing in stacks of at least 40 big blinds.

Simon "C. Darwin2" Mattsson (2,015,229), Teun "tinnoemulder" Mulder (1,613,635), and "Driekus888" (1,359,960) are also still in contention and just a double away from being in the thick of things.

Remaining Final Table Payouts

The final eight players are each guaranteed a payout of $37,061 with the prizes moving up fast from there. The winner will walk away with a healthy top prize of $247,089.

The final table should have been nine players but Daniel "SmilleThHero" Smiljkovic was eliminated in ninth place for $29,349 on the final hand of the night at the same time as Pascal "Pass_72" Lefrancois hit the rail in 10th place for $23,242 to leave eight players remaining.
