Action of the Day

The second and final day began with 99 hopefuls in search of SCOOP glory and five hours later the action was down to a final table of nine after Campana eliminated "Flow_Bambow" (10th - $12,307) when his queens were good against ace-jack.

Among those to advance to Day 2 but missed out on the final table included Stefan "baeks22" Schillhabel ( 14th - $9,962), Patrick "pads1161" Leonard (20th - $8,064), Jon "luckyfish89" Clark (25th - $6,527), Artem "veeea" Vezhenkov (36th - $5,284), Michiel "utreg" Brummelhuis (50th - $4,277), and Day 1 chip leader Andras "probirs" Nemeth (61st - $4,277).

Final Table Action

Campana entered the final table with the chip lead with Zervos closest on his tail.

Tardif was the first to go in ninth place for $15,207 when his ace-jack didn't get there against the queens help by "urwijn69". Shortly after, Oliveira (eighth - $18,782) lost his stack when his ace-five suited wasn't enough to beat Campana's queens.

"urwijn69" then followed Oliveira out the door in seventh place for $26,269 before a trio of Brazilians hit the rail in Campana (fourth - $71,869), Padilha (fifth - $51,386), and "Pablos701" (sixth - $36,740) guaranteeing the final three a six-figure payout.

At this point, the lead passed from Parssinen to Zervos but it wouldn't be the last lead change of the tournament. Moorman went out in third place for $100,518 on a bit of a cooler when his tens didn't stack up well against Zervos' nines.

Heads-Up Action

Zervos began heads-up play with a 3:2 chip advantage on Parssinen with both players hoping to snag their first career SCOOP title.

The lead changed twice before Zervos caught Parssinen bluffing to keep the lead for good. Parssinen battled back for a little while before he lost one final flip. Parssinen three-bet jammed with deuces and Zervos called with ace-ten. Zervos had a full house by the time the board was dealt and Parssinen settled for the healthy runner-up prize of $140,586.

Meanwhile, congrats are in order for Alexios "J0hnny_Dr@m@" Zervos for winning the SCOOP-72-M: $1,050 NLHE Super Tuesday SE for $196,627.
