After a hectic Day 2, 40 players have made it through to the next stage of the PokerStars 2021 SCOOP-92-H: $10,300 NLHE [8-Max, Main Event]. When the dust settled it was Dan "Dannyz0r" Borlan who would log off knowing he'd come back for Day 3 with the chip lead of 16,354,262.

Day 1 attracted 599 entries and before the start of today, another 65 players decided to jump in last minute to get to 664 entries in total to get to a prize pool of $6,640,000. This meant that 87 players would get paid at least $21,328 while the first-place prize everyone aspires to win is a whopping $1,130,396.

Borlan grabbed the chip lead when he eliminated "jancsi69" in 43rd place. "jancsi69" had flopped a full house but Borlan had hit the runner-runner quads to scoop the monsterpot. Following Borlan in the top three are David "MissOracle" Yan (13,782,929) and "kZhh" (11,044,677). Bruno "great dant" Volkmann is the only other player to return for Day 3 with more than 10 million.

But there are more familiar names who will be back to battle it out for a bigger share of the prize pool. Christoph "26071985" Vogelsang, Martin "M.nosbocaJ" Jacobson, Ben "1Don'tStop1" Heath, Lucas "YRWTHMELTHR" Greenwood, Daniel "Oxota" Dvoress, and Christian "WATnlos" Rudolph are just some of them.

For Team PokerStars, today didn't go to plan as Sam "SamSquid" Grafton reentered but busted before making the money. This was also the case for Fintan "EasyWithAces" Hand and Lex "L. Veldhuis" Veldhuis. Ben "Spraggy" Spragg fell in 71st place when he ran his jack-ten into the kings of Liviu "0human0" Ignat.

Parker Talbot
Parker Talbot finished in 41st place for $33,361

But Parker "tonkaaaa" Talbot might be the most disappointed of all, he bubbled Day 3 when he had flopped top pair to see Jacobson had hit a set of kings to end the day for him and the rest of the field.

Volkmann got a big part of his stack when he burst the bubble as he caught "s0nny_bLacCk" with a bluff. From there on, the eliminations kept coming in at a steady pace with defending champion Aliaksandr "Alexgirs" Hirs busting in 70th place when he ran his ace-king into the eights of "kZhh".

Plan for Day 3

When play resumes at 7:05 p.m. CEST on Tuesday, April 27, the 40 remaining players will finish the rest of Level 27 which has a small blind of 40,000, a big blind of 80,000, and a running ante of 10,000. The level duration is slated to stay at 30 minutes and play will continue until the final table of nine players has been reached.

On Wednesday, April 28, the final table will be streamed on the PokerStars Twitch and YouTube channels on a 30-minute security delay as there will be cards-up coverage. Commentary will be provided by James Hartigan and Joe Stapleton and they will be joined by special guests.

PokerNews will be back from the start of Day 3 to bring you all the exciting updates so make sure to follow along with all the action!
