Big Changes Announced for WSOP Circuit; Remaining 2025 Schedule Released

With all eyes on the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP), officials have taken the opportunity to announce the remaining 2025 schedule for the WSOP Circuit, which includes 17 U.S. stops and 12 International stops, and some big changes are in store.
The second half of the 2025 season will run from July through December, and starting in 2026, the circuit will shift to a calendar-year format (it previously ran from the end of the summer WSOP until the start of the next one).
Another big change is that winners for the remainder of 2025 will not win their way into the Tournament of Champions, which last month saw Kevin Li top a 485-player field (out of 1,169 eligible qualifiers) to win a gold bracelet and $200,000 top prize.
Instead, every WSOP Circuit ring winner from July 1 through December 2, 2025, will receive an exclusive $5K ‘Ticket To Paradise’, a non-transferable and non-refundable package that will include a $2,500 live tournament buy-in and complimentary accommodation in the Bahamas during this year’s yet-to-be-announced WSOP Paradise.
"Continuing to elevate the WSOP-C is a strategic focus of ours, and we hope that players enjoy the new benefit of winning any WSOP Circuit gold ring this fall."
Officials also revealed that their plan is to launch the WSOP+ app platform across all future Circuit stops to both enhance the player experience and streamline operations. Speaking of, poker industry veteran Dennis Jones was named WSOP U.S. Circuit Tournament Director while Andy Tillman was tapped as the new WSOP International Circuit Tournament Director.
According to the WSOP announcement, more than $168 million in prizes were won during the recent 2024/2025 WSOP Circuit season, which featured 45 stops, 729 individual tournaments, and over 291,000 entries.
