Daniel Negreanu ended an 11-year World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet drought last summer, and he could soon make it back-to-back years with a bracelet. But not if he can't outlast online poker legend, Viktor "Isildur1" Blom.

Both poker legends have reached the final five players in Event #9: $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship. Negreanu's playing to win the $470,437 first-place prize in the 217-player tournament. But he's also trying to secure his eighth bracelet, and to get off to a strong start at the 2025 WSOP, something he didn't do last year.

Blom's shooting for his first WSOP title, and he's the favorite heading into the final day. The Swedish player holds the chip lead, with Neagreanu virtually tied with Ryan Bambrick in second. Hunter McClelland and Ofir Mor make up the rest of the field, both trailing Negreanu by 10 big blinds.

Negreanu isn't just playing to win a bracelet. He's looking for some 25k Fantasy points as he drafted himself in the first round. A win in the $10K O8 Championship event would certainly increase his odds of winning the fantasy league for the first time.

Negreanu entered Day 3 on Monday first in chips out of 20 remaining players. David "Bakes" Baker and Eric Wasserson bowed out early, dropping the field to 18 players quickly.

The tides would turn a bit for Negreanu a few hours into the session, dropping two places down the chip leaderboard. Blom, on the other hand, entered Day 3 with a slightly above-average stack, and he's been on quite a roller coaster throughout the session, going from short stack to the chip lead.

Blom is one of the most legendary online poker players ever. He burst onto the scene out of nowhere in the late 2000s, playing under the "Isildur1" moniker on the now-defunct Full Tilt Poker site in some of the biggest cash games in the world. He's never won a WSOP bracelet, but has now reached five WSOP final tables. The high roller has focused more on live tournaments in recent years.

As for Negreanu, the GGPoker ambassador will certainly have an entertaining vlog for his fans come Tuesday morning, and an even more exciting one on Wednesday if he takes down the Omaha-8 event for his eighth WSOP bracelet. PokerNews will keep you updated with live coverage throughout the rest of the day.
