“This year's WSOP is poised to break records with an unprecedented range of options to qualify for and attend the WSOP Main Event."
“This year's WSOP is poised to break records with an unprecedented range of options to qualify for and attend the WSOP Main Event, widely recognized as the World Championship of poker,” said World Series of Poker Senior Vice President and Executive Director, Ty Stewart. “We’re excited to offer players an effortless and cost-effective way to book their entire trip to Paris Las Vegas and Horseshoe Las Vegas as they set their sights on becoming poker royalty this summer.”
A total of 95 bracelets — the most at a live WSOP in history — will be awarded over the course of seven weeks at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas Hotels & Casinos. In addition, there will be 20 bracelets awarded on WSOP.com in the merged network of New Jersey and Nevada, while the segregated markets of Pennsylvania and Michigan will each award seven bracelets.
To avoid queues and congestion, the WSOP encourages players to utilize the online mobile registration process to sign up for events, register, and pay online. Players who register online will need to visit the Champagne Ballroom located in the Le Centre Des Conventions in Paris Las Vegas one time before playing in their first event to verify their registration with valid identification upon arrival to the series.
Once verified, players can simply pick events online via BravoPokerLive and utilize the self-service kiosks located throughout Paris Las Vegas and Horseshoe Las Vegas to print their seat cards and make their way directly to their table for play. In-person registration is also now available at the main casino cage inside Paris Las Vegas.
Get Pumped for the Main Event
The 2023 WSOP builds on the momentum of a 2022 tournament that saw 197,626 entrants from more than 100 countries and a record-breaking $347.9 million total prize pool in its new home.
Players will want to make sure they’re prepared as the 2023 WSOP, which runs from May 30 to July 18, is slated to be the biggest yet as 608 tables will allow for the largest capacity to date. Expectations are high that attendance records will be shattered, including for the prestigious $10,000 Main Event. Last year, 8,663 players made it the second-largest WSOP Main Event in history, just 110 entrants short of the record set in 2006.
With GGPoker slated to send a minimum of 600 players, and WSOP.com guaranteeing 111 Main Event seats just from June 25-July 8 alone, it is no doubt going to be a memorable one.
The $10,000 buy-in showpiece of the WSOP will play down to a final table of nine players on Friday, July 14 before the traditional rest day on Saturday, July 15. The winner will then be crowned across two days of final table action on July 16 and 17.
